**Sorry for the long delay! No more excuses, enjoy the chapter!

Sounds of flipping a book accompanied the quiet night. A few nights ago, there was a New Year festival. The City became lively as they decorated it with magic lamps and crystals. Sounds of music and singing are all over the place, with various games from the simple dart game to magic control.

Saya, Musha, and Misha went from stall to stall, tasting various foods until they were full, and completed their day by watching the midnight theatre before the fireworks event.

Kelyn and Paladin Daria were, thankfully, able to enjoy the festival.

Yeli, as per usual, enjoyed the festival while being followed by the palace guards.

I, on the other hand, had to accompany them separately. First, I followed Saya's suggestion while tasting skewered foods, fruit juices, and choosing gifts for Musha and Misha.

With Musha and Misha, I mostly ate extremely greasy foods.

Kelyn guided me to some art galleries. We even drew each other there.

Lastly, I accompanied Yeli in buying clothes and accessories. We visited the magic book stall, mini-game stall, and the theatre.

Lastly, we all enjoyed the fireworks event together as a group. This is my first time enjoying the fireworks this close, accompanied by people whom I can confidently call friends.

With the excitement finally dying down, the nighttime in the city returned to tranquility. I decided to take a walk, visiting the empty park.

"Of course, there's no one here."

Words came out inadvertently, feeling the strange quietness of the city. So, I take out the 'Diary' and start transferring my mana. That is when the 'Diary' opened, rapidly flipping pages after pages as my consciousness entered that 'Diary'.

"It's been a while, little girl."

The same girl appeared as my eyes adjusted to the white space. She didn't say anything and kept looking at me. It lasts for a solid minute when her red hair starts burning, her red eyes shine, and the ground beneath her changes into the stone pavement, revealing a cityscape.

[Will you hear my story?]

The girl is no longer crying like last time. A clear and strong tone enters my mind, but I know this is her voice, the same one who cried. But I don't see her anywhere unlike before.

[I'm but a clueless girl. I hate myself who can't voice out her own sorrow. For years, I hated my life. I hate how weak I am. I hate seeing my parents arguing all the time. I hate being left alone. I hate when people assume I am a strong girl. I hate my school. And what I hate the most is how I plastered this fake smile all the time.]

A girl who seems to be 12 years old is walking alone along the stone pavement. She keeps looking down, undisturbed by the noises around her. She wears some kind of school uniform.

'How did I know that is a school uniform?'

Even when she is looking down, she avoids bumping into other people, but then, tears flow down her cheek.

[It was unbearable. School becomes bleak. The sky is grey. Every step I took felt heavier by the day. I want to scream. Screams out of my lungs. But to whom?]

The scenery changes one more time. We are high up in the sky but not flying. This is the roof of a school building. There is no one on the ground as this is class time.

From how she looks, she hasn't entered her classroom and went straight to the roof wearing the same uniform as the first scene of her 'Diary'. Red leather backpack and highly tailored uniform.
