Tiana blinked and rubbed her eyes as she woke up from the sun abruptly shining in her eyes. "It's time to wake up Tiana, you have to get ready for your date with Mr. Lenin today," Betty said as she ties back the curtains from the windows. Instead of responding Tiana rolled onto her face and groaned, she had forgotten about the date that she promised her mother she would go to. She could feel Betty's eyes go into the back of her head as she tried to push her head firmly into the bed hoping that it would swallow her up whole.
"Get my curlers ready," Tiana mumbled at Betty as she slowly turned over onto her back, she watched as Betty left the room before coming back with a steaming bowl of water on a tray along with her curlers. Tiana groaned as she slowly moved into a sitting position, as she moved her legs to hang off the bed Betty grabbed her silky robe that was hanging on the back of her vanity chair. "Thank you," Tiana murmured as adjusted the robe and walks towards the vanity chair that Betty had pulled out for her. "What do you have in mind to wear today miss?" Betty asks as she runs the brush gently through Tiana's hair.
"I'm thinking something simple but pull it all together with my print hat and some statement necklaces and rings." Betty listens to Tiana as she explains what she wants to wear today while she rolls her hair into the curlers. "Alright, you sit here and I'll grab a dress for you." Betty smiles quickly before she turns around and walks toward Tiana's giant closet to grab the clothes that she has in mind. Tiana sighs as she slides the chair out and walks towards her jewelry box, she runs her fingertips over the wood engravings. Tiana opens it and a slight smile graces her face as she reads the inscription.
She grabs the pieces that she wanted before she shuts the jewelry box and walks back over to the vanity, she gently places the pieces on her vanity table and starts to put them on. While she's trying to clasp her necklace Betty walks back into her room from her closet. "Here, let me." Betty gently places the two dresses down onto her bed before she walks up behind Tiana and gently grabs the clasp, Tiana's breath catches as Betty's fingers softly touch the back of her neck as she fastens the necklace. "There we go." Betty's voice brings Tiana back into reality, she sighs and reaches around to the back of her neck and stands up before letting her hands drop.
"Why don't you go with me?" Tiana suddenly asks as she's running her hands over the fabric of the two different dresses that Betty brought out to choose from. "I couldn't possibly do that, It's a date, not a business meeting." Tiana turns around quickly to look at Betty and grabs her hands tightly, it's only when Betty flinches at the surprise that Tiana lets up on her squeezing slightly. "But you are my assistant are you not? I need you there Betty, I need you by my side." Tiana pleads, she watches as Betty's eyes soften before she slowly nods her head. "Why don't you get dressed then I'll get ready." Betty smiles as she starts to move towards the dresses to grab one for Tiana when she stops her.
"I'll do it, just go get ready." Tiana smiles and nods encouragingly when it looks like Betty is about to hesitate on whether she should go or not. "Let me know if you need help," Betty says as she walks towards the door and shuts it behind her, Tiana turns towards her bed with a smile. She picks up the black dress on the right and admires it before placing it down and starts to unzip the clothes that she wore to bed, her nightgown falls to the floor. She doesn't bother to pick it up as she grabs the dress that's on her bed and steps into it.
Tiana carefully walks towards the vanity and sits down in the chair before she places her arm behind her back and zips herself into the dress, she presses her lips together as she reaches for her lipstick and puckers as she applies it in one fell swoop. She starts to unroll her hair carefully letting it drop against the dress, she does that a few more times until all her hair was released from the curlers. She looked at herself in the mirror with a smirk before she stands up and reaches over for her studded earrings and pushes them into her ear with a slight wince. "Miss Malinowski, can I come in?" Betty asks as she knocks on the door as Tiana is pushing her another earring through. "Yes, please do," Tiana says as she turns back towards the mirror successfully pushing the earring into her ear.
She watches through the mirror as Betty walks into the room and Tiana pauses, her eyebrow raises as she turns around to face Betty. "You look nice." Tiana comments looking Betty up and down, she blushes before she pushes a piece of hair behind her ear. "Thank you, would you like your print shaw as well?" Betty changes the subject as she walks toward the closet waiting for Tiana's answer. "And don't forget the hat as well," Tiana replies before walking over to her bed and taking a seat pushing the other dress that was still on her bed out of the way.
"Here you go." Betty walks towards the bed and places the shaw down before she stands in front of Tiana and starts to pin her head on the side of her head so it wouldn't move. When Betty steps back Tiana starts to bend to put her shoes on but Betty stops her. "Let me, you could make the hat fall," Betty says so softly that Tiana had to strain to hear her but she nodded and moved her legs away from her body so Betty could put her shoes on strapping them at her ankle.
Betty holds out her hand as she stands up which Tiana takes, Tiana grabs her shaw and places it around her arms as she walks towards the door so quickly that Betty had to run slightly to catch up with her to grab the door. Cris Lenin better watch out because Tiana Malinowski is on her way to Club Cumulus.
