It took a couple of days for Tiana to find out the fake kruge worked, until then... She pretended everything was normal, she shared tender kisses with Betty when they were alone, Tiana thought Betty was none the wiser, she felt she outsmarted Betty... But she didn't.

Tiana was working on some paperwork that Leif had wanted her to Fastrack, and since she didn't trust Betty anymore, she had to double-check Betty's work before sending it out to her merchant workers. She paused writing holding the quill in midair when a light knock sounded on the door, Tiana licked her lips before placing the quill back into the pot and leans back into her chair before answering. "Come in," Tiana instructed loud enough to know that the person on the other side heard her. The knob turned, and when Tiana locked eyes with the person her breath caught in her throat, it was Betty.

By the look on Betty's face, Tiana knew that Betty found out about the Kruge, this little game was over. "Can I sit?" Betty asked as she stepped into the room and closed the door behind her, Tiana nodded instead of replying and reached for her whiskey and took a long drag of it. "My employer wants to set up a meeting with you." Betty broke the silence.

Tiana took a sharp intake of breath before gently placing the glass on her desk before she dropped or breaks it. "Who's your employer?" Tiana was shocked at how steady her voice sounded for being in her situation. "Kaz Brekker." Tiana's eyes widened, and she clenched her hands around her armrests, she knew it showed on her face but she had to work this. "Where does he want to meet?" Tiana crossed her legs under her desk and clasped her arms together letting them rest in her lap.

"Crow Club, if that's alright." Betty brushed some of her hair behind her ear as Tiana couldn't help but snort. "Oh so now you care about me? Betty, was any of it real?" Tiana's temper jumped out, she couldn't help it but she just felt so hurt and betrayed. "Of course! Tiana, I love you. I really do, that wasn't my assignment. All I was supposed to do was be your assistant and get access to your financials." Tiana shook her head in shock. "I should fire you and report you, I trusted you, Betty. Speaking of, is that even your name? Or are you lying about that too?" Tiana was asking more in a rhetorical manner so she was surprised when Betty paused before shaking her head.

"I'm not Lizabeta Kuznetsova, my name is Nina Zenik. I wasn't lying about the other things though, I am an orphan, and Tiana, you have to believe me. I love you." Tiana closed her eyes as Betty... no Nina reached over and placed her hand on the desk for Tiana to grab. "I can't trust you anymore, you lied to me about everything when I opened my heart to you. You took advantage of that, I should've listened to everyone when they said I shouldn't have hired someone like you." Hurt flashed across Nina's eyes and Tiana had to hide a smirk, that's what she wanted. She wanted to make it hurt and she succeeded.

"If you feel that way, then consider today my last day," Nina stated mouth turning towards a slight frown, Tiana felt a strange feeling when Nina said that, she felt sadness in her stomach, she was curious before the sadness disappeared and was replaced with anger. "No, you don't get to quit and get out of this. You're going to keep working for me, no pay and then after I meet with your boss I'll figure out what to do with you." Nina's eyes drifted down to her fingers before nodding and looking back up to meet Tiana's eyes and hesitantly nods.

"Now, leave me." Tiana dismisses Nina without a second thought, wordlessly she stands up and pauses in front of the desk like she wants to say something but she thinks the better of it and walks out the door of Tiana's office without another word. Tiana let out shaky sigh as she heard the door click in place, she grabbed her whiskey and took another long sip before she turned her car to face her Dad's portrait, in a week it will be six months since she's lost her Dad and she wasn't any closer to get control of the business from Leif. In fact, with this new revelation, she was even further than before

Tiana screamed, she screamed and hurled the glass of whiskey toward the picture. She screamed until she couldn't scream anymore, she wondered what her Dad would think of his sweet little princess if he saw her now.
