Adventure Of A Lifetime (Doctor's Son Reader x Ruby Rose)

Chapter 2: Meeting the sisters.

You walk further into the bullhead and notice a few things. A blonde haired girl annoying one dressed in red and some guy going to vomit.

You decided to walk towards the two girls and talk to them.

Red: "I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees."
You joined in on the conversation you have no clue what it's about.
You: "Well I have actually once met a man with a bees knees."
Red: "AHH!"
You apparently frightened the girl.
Blonde: "Well that's an odd way to join a conversation."
You: "Eh I tried, and it's true though."
Ruby: "Who are you?"
You: "I'm the Doctor."
Yang: "I'm Yang Xiao-Long."
Ruby: "I'm Ruby Rose."
You: "Ruby Rose, that's a spectacular name, like it's from a fairytale."
Ruby: "Heh thanks, anyways Yang is my older sister."
You: "Ah, you two don't look like each other though, half sisters?"
Yang: "Yup, now what's your real name handsome?"
You: "Don't do that, and my real name is confidential."
Ruby: "Wait you're 18?"
You: "Yup, I got moved up two years."
Ruby: "No way me too!"

A hologram of Glynda appears where the news was playing.

Glynda: "Hello, and welcome to Beacon!"

Yang: "Who's that?"

Glynda: "My name is Glynda Goodwitch."

Yang: "Oh."

Glynda: "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." (disappears)

Ruby: "Oh, wow! Look, you can see Signal from up here! I guess home isn't too far after all."
Yang: "Beacon is our home, now."

You three then see a blonde boy about to vomit running past.

You: "Right, I better help that guy, I will see you two later."
Ruby and Yang: "See ya! / Bye."

You walk over to the blonde boy hunched over a trash can.

You: "Hey man, you alright?"
Vomit boy: "Yeah, just a little airsick that's all."
You scan him with your sonic screwdriver.
You: "Yep, just airsick. Here, take this."
You hand him a medicine of sorts and he eats it.
You: "Oh you were supposed to stick it up your- you know what I'm sure it'll work fine."
Vomit boy: "Thanks man, who are you?"
You: "I'm the Doctor."
Vomit boy: "Yeah I figured, I'm Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tounge - the ladies love it."
You: "Do they though?"
Jaune: "It's a work in progress."
You then feel the bullhead rumble as it comes to a halt.
You: "Well I presume we landed, in that case I've gotta go, see ya!"
Jaune: "See ya."

You walk out and look around a bit.

You: "So this is beacon huh, looks quite spectacular."

You then see Yang with Ruby looking at weapons and stuff and you decide to walk towards them.

You: "Hello ladies."
Ruby: "Oh hi Doctor."
Yang: "Hello."
Few seconds of silence.
You: "So, what were you two talking about?"
Yang: "Ruby was just gushing over weapons and saying how they're better than normal people."
Ruby: "YANG!"
You: "Well, I get where she's coming from. I've met some people who were so mean and stuff that I would rather meet a box."
Ruby: "Right!? So talking about weapons, do you have one?"
In the corner of your eye you see Yang leaving.
You: "Yes I do actually, it's a sonic screwdriver."
You show Ruby the sonic screwdriver.
Ruby: "Ooooh. So what does it do?"
You: "Well it can open pretty much any lock, just not deadlocks or locks made of wood, I really need to fix that. It can also stun or hack some things."
Ruby: "That's... Cool? But don't you need a weapon?"
You: "Yes you do, check this out."
You activate the saber.
Ruby: "Wow! That's so cool!"
You: "Right? So anyways I believe we should get a move on."
Ruby: "Yeah, wait where's Yang?"
You: "I believe she left with some friends."
Ruby: "Oh okay."
You and Ruby then start walking. Along the way Ruby bumps into some fancy girl, causing her cases to fly into the air. You attempt to catch them but only get one, Ruby nearly falls but you caught her.
Ruby: (blushing a bit) "Thanks."
You: "Your welcome."
Fancy girl: "What are you doing?!"
Ruby: "Uh, sorry!"
Fancy girl: "Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?"
Ruby: (holding a case) "Uuhhh..."
Fancy girl: "Give me that! This is Dust - mined and purified from the Schnee quarry!"
Ruby: "Uuuhhhh..."
Fancy girl: "What are you, brain-dead? Dust! Fire, water, lightning, energy!"
Ruby: "I... I know..." (starts coughing from the Dust pouring into her face)
Fancy girl: "Are you even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourself?!"
You: "Listen Ice Queen she already apologized."
Fancy girl: "And who are you supposed to be?!"
You: "I'm the Doctor."

Ruby finally sneezes and causes an explosion because of the dust.

You: "I must say that was quite refreshing."
Fancy girl: "Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!"
Ruby: "I'm really, really sorry!"

Fancy girl: "Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you and that weird guy a little young to be attending Beacon?"
You: "Hey I'm not weird!"
Fancy girl: "This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!"
You: "Talk about a big ego."

Ruby: "Hey, I said I was sorry, princess!"
Kitty: "It's heiress actually. Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world"
Weiss: "Finally! Some recognition!"

Kitty: "The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners."
Weiss: "Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!"

Weiss then gets her stuff and leaves.

You then see a stand with someone selling bowties and fezzes.

You: "Ruby I will see you later, there is something really important I've got to see."
Ruby: "Um, okay? Well I will tell you when I leave."
You: "Alright."

You then walk to the stand.
Seller: "Ah, interested in bowties and fezzes I presume?"
You: "You got it, do you also sell ties?"
Seller: "I do sell some yeah though one here never really attracted people. Mostly due to its weird patterns and writing."
He points at a tie with some Gallifreyan symbols on it.

You: "Now that is interesting."
Seller: "What is?"
You: "It's nothing it's got an ancient language on it that I can read."
Seller: "Well what does it say?"
You: "I'm afraid I can't say. So, what's your offer?"
Seller: "How about 5 Lien?"
You: "Sounds good, here you go."
You hand him the money and he gives you the tie.
Seller: "Pleasure doing business."
You: "Pleasure."
Ruby: "Doctor! We're going to look for where we need to go."
You walk over to Ruby and Jaune.
You: "Right then, Ruby can you hold this for a second?"
Ruby: "Sure."
You then give her your old tie and you put your new one on.
Ruby: "Looks cool. So what do you want me to do with this?"
You: "You can keep it if you want."
Ruby: "Okay then."
Ruby tries to wear it but doesn't know how to tie it.
Ruby: "Um, Doctor can you help me?"
You: "Sure."
You help her tie the tie.
Ruby: (blushing) "Thanks."
You: "Your welcome. Now then, off we go."
