Adventure Of A Lifetime (Doctor's Son Reader x Ruby Rose)

Chapter 5: Passing initiation! Maybe?

You and Yang are seen rushing to Ruby to save her from the Nevermore.
You ingite your lightsaber and get in front of Ruby to protect her, but before the stinger could hit you a white blur raced past. It was ice, from Weiss. It stopped the stinger just in time as it was inches away from your face.

Weiss: "You are so childish!"
Ruby: "Weiss...?"
Weiss: "And dim-witted, And hyperactive, and don't even get me started on your fighting style. And I suppose I can be a bit... difficult... but if we're going to do this, we're going to have to do this together. So if you quit trying to show off, I'll be... nicer."
Ruby: "I'm not trying to show off. I want you to know I can do this."
Weiss: "You're fine."
Yang then arrives and hugs Ruby.
Yang: "So happy you're okay!"
Weiss then looks at you.
Weiss: "And you Doctor! Just rushing in and potentially getting yourself killed is not a good idea!"
You: "Eh it seemed okay when I was doing it, and I would have survived. Trust me. "
Weiss: "Just don't do anything that rash. Okay?"
You: "Yes, your majesty."
Weiss sighs.

Jaune: "Guys? That thing's circling back! What are we gonna do?"
You: "Well, technically we only need the chess pieces and just return to the cliff.
About that, Ruby you got one?"
Ruby: "Yep, right here."
You: "Okay, so we don't need to fight those things, we just need to return."
Yang: "Can't we just use your snog booth?"
You: "It's not a- It's a Tardis, and no, I kind of already broke the rules when I saved Ruby."
Weiss: "And me later."
You: "And Weiss later of course."
Jaune: "So run and live - that's an idea I can get behind!"
Jaune also gets a chess piece and the ice the Deathstalker was trapped in begins to crack.
Ren: "Time we left!"
Ruby: "Right. Let's go!"

You and the rest are running out of the forest and towards a stone bridge until the Nevermore blocks your path.
Yang: "Well,  that's great!"
The Deathstalker then also bursts into the scene.
Jaune: "Ah, man, run."

You get distracted by something you see in the trees.
You: "Guys I am very sorry but I'm gonna have to go back, I think I saw something. You got this!"
You run back into the forest.
Robot voice: "Eggs."
You: ... What?
Robot voice: "Eggs."
You: "Um, hello?"
Robot voice: "Eggs, eggs, eggs. Extirminate!"
You: "No, no, no. Not here, not now!"

A lady then walks out of the bushes.
Lady: "I'm sorry, the malfunctioning Dalek was the only way to get your attention."
You: "Who are you?"
Lady: "Someone from your future."
You: "River?"
Lady: "No."
You: "Okay, now if you don't mind I'm kind of in the middle of an initiation."
Lady: "I've come here to warn you."
You: "About what?"
Lady: "The stars shall fall when the Beacon stops shining. That's all I'm allowed to say."
The mystery woman then uses a vortex manipulator and disappears.
You: "The stars shall fall when the Beacon stops shining. Wonder what that's all about."
You ponder for a few seconds and quickly run back to the bridge. But the others signal that a second Deathstalker approaches you. You turn around and see that it's standing in your face.
You: "So you chose to stand in front of a man that's got a lightsaber? Grave mistake."
It raises it's stinger and you jump forwards landing in its head. You position your lightsaber and strike it in it's head, killing it. Ruby and the others just watches amazed.

Timeskip to Ozpin announcing the teams.
Ozpin: "Russel Thrush. Cardin Winchester. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark.  The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by... Cardin Winchester!"
*non-deserved applause*
Ozpin: "Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR. Led by... Jaune Arc!"
Jaune: "Huh? L-Led by...?"
Ozpin: "Congratulations, young man. And finally: Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long. The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!"
Yang: "I'm so proud of you Ruby!"
You: "Well done Rubes."
Ozpin: "Now, we have one person remaining. The Doctor. Yours is a special situation, you formed a trio with Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee. That normally would mean you are part of team RWBY, but you broke the rules."
You: "Nah-ah, I didn't break them. You said don't use the Tardis for battle, I used it to rescue people. And even if that was against the rules I would happily do it again. What is graduating worth if you let people die?"
Ruby: "He is right. Plus, if he gets expelled I should too because I helped him pilot the Tardis."
You: "Well-"
Ruby motions for you to shut up.
Ozpin: "What both of you said is true, and I won't expel any of you today. Breaking the rules to save people is a good reason, one I will accept. And yes, you technically didn't break them. So from now on Doctor, you are part of team RWBY, the first five-membered team."
*deserved applause"
Ruby runs over to hug you to celebrate you joining.
Ruby: "I'm so glad you can stay!"
You: "So am I, though what you said could have risked you getting into Beacon."
Ruby: "I know but you saved me from dying, getting expelled from Beacon would be better than dying."
You: "Heh, you really are adorable sometimes you know that?"
You see Yang immediately stare at you with fire in her eyes.
Ruby: "What?"
You: *nervous laugh* "Uh... Nothing."
