3rd pov

Touma and Mikoto were not sure what they were expecting, both having such odd days, though that's honestly not much different from Touma's usual, but they certainly aren't expecting this : a fidgeting albino, shifting from foot to foot, waiting for both of them in the underground mall, as if he had known exactly where they would go to hang out. Accelerator looks up from where he's looking at his phone - he was double checking he had the right location, won't do to be in the wrong place - and puts it away when he spots them.

The two share a glance, wondering what the teen wants, especially since he can't not know about Mikoto's hatred for him and Touma has nothing against him, but he's certainly wary. They both tense when the teen approaches them, even if he is a lot less powerful and on a cane, they can't help it. They watch him warily, surprise hidden behind masks as he glances around at the people nearby and then grumbles. The surprise becomes real when he bows, uttering words they never thought they'd hear from the proud Esper.

"I need your help. Please."

The two quickly move, Touma grabbing his arm to pull him along, mindful of the cane, both going to a more empty place, ignoring the looks they're getting. Whatever happened, they both know this has to be serious, in order for him to toss his pride aside like that and ask the two of them for help in a location where his reputation could take a huge hit since he was bowing to two Espers of lower level and rank.

"What's happening?" Mikoto asks, crossing her arms over her chest, trying hard to ignore the urge to electrocute the albino where he stands.

"A couple of days ago, Last Order never came home. We started looking after the 1st hour but we couldn't track her, nothing. We've been looking for ages, but we need help from more people, since I am a liability and I refuse to let my pride get in the way of saving her life."

"Any clues?"

"None, not even a scrap of fabric or a least sighting. The other Sisters are helping as well, but they're having a harder time, since we don't know if the person is identifying them based on look or just pure chance."

As he's talking, Touma really takes a look and realizes how tired the Esper is. There are dark bags under his eyes, his clothes never fit but even now they hang a bit more than usual and he's leaning heavily on his cane, like he's having more trouble with his leg than usual.

"Why are you a liability?"

Accelerator grits his teeth, which just makes him look more tired, looking like he's in pain, even as he answers.

"Whoever has Last Order has figured out how to hack into the Misaka Network, and more specifically single me out from the maze that is, and they are continuously and randomly revoking my access."

Touma grimaces, having gotten some of the details since he sees the doctor far more often then he ever wants to and he recalls the doc explaining how Accelerator's powers worked now, as well as the purpose of the choker. Mikoto just raises an unimpressed eyebrow.

"What does that have to do with making you a liability?"

"I can't think, move or speak once my access is removed. I am using the cane because I need it, not because I want to make a fashion statement. There's only so much the Network can do, but without it, I am pretty much a deaf, gibberish spouting vegetable. I can't count the number of times I've collapsed the last few days because they felt like removing my access. We can't even tell if it's because I'm getting close or not, because my hearing goes out, so there's no way for me to tell if anyone's moving around me."

"So, where are we meeting? Having you collapse out here in this public place will do no good for any of us, because it'll give the enemy your location, so we need to move."
