3rd pov

At first, they're not sure what's happening. Accelerator's always had control of his powers, when he's using them. But for some reason, his powers have been acting out. The first time it happened is also the only time he got hurt, if for no other reason than because they took him to the hospital right after. They're not sure why, but his choker had turned on while they were walking down the hall towards the apartment and he'd been reflected away from the wall, the surprise and shock enough that none of them could move to stop him from hitting the railing on the opposite side.

The crack of him hitting had wrung through the air, before they moved, all of them wincing at the way he's cradling his arm. It's his cane arm as well, broken because the cane was never supposed to be torn from him in such a way, leaving his arm to crack and then break upon hitting the wall. There's some blood dripping from his head, where it had hit the wall, but he's conscious so they're not going to deal with that just yet. Not when the bone is sticking out of his arm, increasing his chances of infection.

Yomikawa moves first, heading for the elevator in order to get the car ready for a race to the hospital, while Yoshikawa moves to splint his arm, using the cane and part of her clothing, while Last Order works to find out what happened. None of the other Sisters had activated his choker or done anything that might've led to it turning on accidentally, let alone flinging him like a ragdoll. They get him to the hospital within the hour, letting Heaven decide what to do with him. After all, he should hopefully have an idea why the choker did what it did. His first priority however, is setting his patients bone and deciding how he's going to set up his recovery.

After the surgery, Heaven settles in the room with the other three and starts off with what happened.

"His choker turned on for no reason and then his power reflected him away from the wall. He looked pretty confused as well, so he didn't do it and got nothing from the Misaka network either."

"Last Order?"

"Misaka has checked but none of the other Sisters did anything, accidental or not, that should have affected his choker or his power, Misaka Misaka states somberly, unsure what this means for Accelerator."

"Hmm...well, my first concern is how we're going to keep him in shape. He had the cane because his leg can't support his weight entirely, not on that side anyways, but we can't have him laying in bed the entire time or else the leg will deteriorate."

"I guess just have somebody support him when he goes anywhere. He'll be limited of course, since his powers are going wonky there's no way we're going to let him use them right now, but he'll at least be moving."

"Yes, now while he's still out I'm going to check on the choker and battery, make sure everything is ok with those."

The choker and battery are fine, no signs of damage or broken wires, no signs of tampering of any kind. There should have been no way for it to turn on without help though. Heaven frowns, peering at his invention, but there really is nothing wrong with it. However, there's also nothing wrong with his patient, besides the broken arm and small laceration on the back of his head.

His brain and body are in the same state they were when he was released, so it's not something Accelerator did either. He already got the others' information, but there wasn't anything there either. Last Order is right as well, he's talked to the Sisters still near or in the hospital for check ups, but none of them are entirely certain why this happened either. There's just no reason for it to have occurred, none whatsoever. But they also can't risk him getting hurt again, in a more dangerous area, so he refuses to release the patient until the arm is mostly healed, if only so he can use his cane before he leaves.
