"Doctor Minho?"

"Taehyung sorry to call you at a random time but I think you should be informed about this right now, it would be a pleasure if you come to my office to tell you this as soon as possible that would be great,"

"Yeah okay I'll be there?" Taehyung sounded confused, then he hugged the phone and looked at Jeongguk with frowning eyebrows.

"What's the matter?"

"He wants us to go to his office since he has something to tell us. I don't what it is but I-I think we should start leaving,"

Taehyung said, dragging Jeongguk along with him.

"Tae? What's wrong?" Jeongguk asked as Taehyung just dragged him without telling him anything.

"I don't know, Dr. Minho just called me telling me to come to his office since he needs to tell us something important," Taehyung spoke up as he fiddled with his bracelet.

Jeongguk placed his hand on his shoulder soothing him down to calm down, as Taehyung was nervous, he was shaking from all his nervousness, he hoped nothing was wrong.

"Please take a seat" the doctor said pointing at the chairs with his clipboard he held. Both of them took a seat.

"Is everything alright with my baby?" Taehyung asked as he was half scared.

Minho let out a sigh, scaring Taehyung. He flipped through his paper in his clipboard.

"Please get to the point…I…I need to know if my son is alright," his voice shivered, he was nibbling on his lip harshly. Jeongguk on the other hand grabbed his shaking hand and rubbed it softly, assuring that everything would be alright.

"I looked at the results from last time you came here, and well…there might be a fifty-fifty chance, you or your baby might survive when you go into labor."

The room was silent, Taehyung froze when he heard that, his throat felt tight. The only sound you could hear in that very room was Taehyung's heavy breathing.

"W-what?"

"You-"

"No…no I'm sorry doc but this might be a misunderstanding. My son and his mother are very healthy, how can this happen, there must be something wrong here," Jeongguk said he knew something wasn't right. How did this happen? How could it happen?

Taehyung just looked at what Minho was writing on the papers he, said nothing. He felt the wet tears fall from his lashes down to his rosy pink cheeks. It felt as if everything was going in slow motion, his heart racing, as he couldn't believe this new information that was being thrown at him.

"This can't be true right?" Taehyung mumbled, wiping his tears harshly with the hem of his sleeve.

"I'm sorry Mr. Kim, but you have to either choose the life of your baby or you," he said and Taehyung just got up.

"Please…please I need time to think of this," Taehyung mumbled as he held in his loud sob. Jeongguk followed behind him. Taehyung turned on a corner and he leaned against the cold wall, crying his eyes out. His sobs echoed through the building.

"This-This has to be a joke, right?" Taehyung said between his cries. Jeongguk pulled him into a hug and Taehyung melted into his hold, weeping the uncontrollable pain he held. Jeongguk whispering sweet nothings into his ear trying his best to calm him down.
