Chapter 24 ~
(Change of povs a couple of times later in the chapter)
Taylor's pov
"Okay," Amber says to me as we're sitting on the floor of her room. The two of us playing go fish -and so far she's winning. "So, a few weeks ago, me and Michael had went to the downstairs bar-"
"You didn't drink did you?" I ask, but mentally slap myself. "Of course you drank. But how did they even let you drink anything? Underage, remember?"
"Fake ID, remember?" She rolls her eyes, reminding me of the fake ID she had made once she turned 17. Claiming that she couldn't possibly wait 4 more years before she was actually old enough to drink. I honestly don't see what the big deal is for drinking, all the alcohol does is make you loopy for a couple of hours then have a massive headache the day after. At least that's what it seems like to me. The fake ID is also how her and Alia got tattoos.
"Right," I reply. "You may proceed."
"Anyways, we went to the bar, and basically laughed our asses off for a couple of hours. Making dirty jokes, and seeing who could make the best one. Which he was trying to top the one that I had said when we first met them. The sunny D one."
"Oh, I remember that one. That was a good one," I say, remembering that day. Before I knew anything about a bet that was going to be made just hours after.
"Yeah, but after that we just started talking about life. Nothing really specific, just life. But I honestly don't want anything that we talked about used against me."
"Why would he use it against you? If what you said you two were talking about, made you have a generally good time, then he shouldn't say anything. It doesn't really give him a right to. It was something that you two talked about, to each other."
"I know, but there's still that possibility."
"You have a point," I agree. "Just don't let it bother you."
"It's nice having advice from someone instead of giving it. Thanks," she says. "Do you have a 3?"
"Damn you," I say with a glare. I hand her my 3, and she puts her card and my card together. Which causes her to win the game.
"Don't hate the player, hate the game," she smirks.
"Shut up," I mumble.
"Haters gonna hate," she laughs, earning a slap on the arm.
"Oh shut up," I say. "New game?"
"Sure," she says, shuffling the cards up. "So, have you and Luke talked?"
"No," I say.
"Why? I kind of thought that you'd have it worked out by now, you're usually not the type to hold a grudge."
"I know, but I just need time to think everything through. And three days is not enough time. It may be next week or next month before I actually talk to him."
"You'll just be putting it off, Taylor. The tour ends soon, and I honestly think that you should be on good terms before it ends."
"I know, but I just feel betrayed. I know that y'all were done the same way, but I just feel like mine was worse somehow. Like I had been led on this whole time, which I obviously was-"
"Taylor," Amber says, interrupting my babbling that was beginning. "I understand that you feel really betrayed, but there's a possibility that we'll see them in the future. I wouldn't hold the grudge for too long."
"Ugh, I thought that you'd be okay with me bot wanting to forgive him just yet, but I thought wrong."
"That's what most us have been doing lately. Always thinking that something will turn out okay in the end, but so far nothing is turning out okay."
