Chapter 27 ~

Chapter 27 ~

Alia's pov

"Got it."

"Good," I reply.

"Okay, now that that's made clear..." Amber says, "I can finally ask... Where's Elizabeth ans Aiden? And why is Thomas standing outside of the restaurant?"

"What?" Taylor asks. She gets up from her chair, and walks over to the window, seeing Thomas stand there, in the pouring rain.

"Uh, why is he here?" I whisper, annoyance obvious in my voice. I look at everyone, getting shrugs from them.

"Do you think he's stalking her?" Amber asks, then begins to laugh.

"That's nothing to laugh about, Amber," Mandy scolds. "Maybe he just wanted something to eat?"

"Yeah, like that's what he wants," Amber scoffs as she rolls her eyes.

We watch as Taylor walks back over to us, grabbing her coat, heading back to where she was standing.

"Where are you going?" I ask her, confused on what she is planning on doing.

"Um, I'm just going outside for a minute," she says, obviously making up an excuse. She begins walking backwards, slowly making her way towards the door that leads to the exit.

"For what?" Aaron asks.

"To, um, get some fresh air?" She says, but it comes out as more of a question than an answer.

"Fresh air? Really? It's pouring rain out there," Mandy says, stating the obvious.

"Oh, I know... I just need to check on something, I'll be right back." And with that she was heading straight for the door, leaving us all speechless.

"Dammit why does he always have to show up?" Amber says, making Mandy gasp.

"Amber, watch your mouth," Mandy groans.

"Sorry," Amber groans back, sticking her tongue out, Mandy doing the same back to her. I swear, sometimes I wonder if their actually two 5 year olds stuck in two teenage bodies.

Aaron's phone goes off in the midst of their childish manner, and a smile spreads across his face.

"What are you smiling about?" Clare asks him. If Clare wouldn't have said anything, I would've never noticed her sitting there. She stopped talking and stayed quiet when I kind of lost my temper a few minutes ago. I'm serious, no one messes with my OTP. It's just a natural instinct to not mess with someone's OTP.

"Lizzie just said that she's getting off work right now, and that she'll be here in a few minutes," he responds, using Elizabeth's nickname.

"Are you planning on asking her to marry you anytime soon?" Amber asks, saying the question we've all thought to ask, but never had the guts to even ask. And it's obvious that she's hoping that he says that he is, or at least hoping that he's thought about it. And I don't blame her for wanting to know, I would like to know too. And come to think of it, I really do hope that they get married. They're actually one of the cutest couple's I have ever seen.

"I've thought about it, but I just don't want to rush anything," he mumbles.

I wonder why he doesn't just ask her already, they've been together for a few years now- 3 years in December- and are pretty serious. But I understand why he's not wanting to rush anything. Mainly because of the fear of commitment kicks in, and then you start questioning if it's right. So, I guess he has a good reason for waiting.

"Awe, you two are cute," Mandy says, poking Aaron in the face.

"Stop it," he whines as he pushes her hand away.

Aaron's phone goes off a few minutes later, and quickly gets up from his seat and grabs his coat off of his chair, and runs out the door.

"I'm going to guess that Lizzie is here," I say, sitting up straight in my seat.

"Yeah, he is so crazy about her," Amber smiles, looking out the window.

"How long is Taylor going to be gone?" I ask, picking up my glass of coke and take a sip from it.

"I don't know, but I really wish she would just hurry up with talking to Thomas. Why did he even have to show up in the first place? He's just going to hurt her again," Amber groans.

"Maybe not," Mandy objects, surprising me and Amber at her comment. "Yes, I realize that he did hurt her a few months ago, but it doesn't mean we have to ignore him. He's been a big part in our lives since a young age and he means a lot to Taylor. And it's her choice if she chooses to talk to him or not. Even if she decides to forgive him, doesn't that mean we can also forgive and forget?"

Amber and I, both, are taken back by her small but meaningful speech. Mandy waits for our response, and for a second I feel embarrassed. Yes, Thomas did break our best friend's heart, and if she's willing to let it go, then maybe we should too. But I did say that I was almost embarrassed, I wasn't even considering talking to him, let alone forgive him.

"You're right, if she's out there with him, and hopefully not in tears, I guess I'm okay with talking to him again?" Amber says, but it comes out as if she's questioning herself and what she's saying.

"Hey, remember me?" Clare asks, catching our attention.

"Yeah, we remember you," I say sarcastically.

"Obviously, how could you even forget me?" Clare dryly laughs. "I'm unforgettable. But anyways, I thought you might want to know that Lizzie's here."

We see Aaron and Elizabeth talking to our parents, and then come over to where we are sitting.

"Hey," Elizabeth says. She gives each of us a hug, making small talk to each of us before taking a seat next to me. "So, how has everyone been lately?"

"We've been great, actually. But we're also kind of sad you know, one that the tour is over," I say, basically speaking for us all.

"Well, that's great!" Lizzie exclaims. "You know, I seriously cannot wait for next week. My family is taking me and my little brother over to Pigeon Forge for the week, and I'll be off from work. And away from all the stress."

"And I'm going with her," Aaron cheekily says, making Lizzie smile. He puts his arm around her, and leans in as he kisses the top of her head.

"Yeah, you're going with me," she laughs. She pats his arm, assuring him of what their plans are.

So, I know that I had published this chapter last night, but I'm republishing it today because I noticed that there are quite a few things that needed to be edited... So, yeah...

I just want to say that I hope everyone has an awesome summer! Because during summer I'll be able to start updating more on this book- which has like 2 or 3 chapters left :O

And I'll also be able to update on my other books as well!!! And SERIOUSLY thank you guys for all of the support I have gotten on this book!!!!!!!
