I was on the phone with my brother as I heard them coming back, patiently listening to the first one as he told me about his past week. Originally, he had called me because he wanted to get inspiration for what to buy mum for her birthday next week. After this brainstorming ended as always – him joining in for my present – he had went on what he was up to and so on. I heard Jay and his cousin laughing about something as they came towards the living room. "Hey, I'm really sorry", I interrupted my brother, "But I have to go. Heeseung's here." "Heeseung?", my brother asked back. Oh right, I haven't told him who he was. "Jay's cousin. He's here to visit. Really gotta go now, talk to you soon!", I explained and hung up right the moment both of them walked in. I looked up and froze. I haven't seen Heeseung in quite a while due to the student exchange and wow – he changed!

"Heeseung, is that really you?", I grinned and tilted my head. He looked stunning, to say the least. He smiled shyly. I chuckled. "Okay, only you have such a smile", I grinned and went over to hug him, "Nice to see you again." I looked to the clock and saw that it already was past noon. "You're hungry? I bet Jay will cook something delicious for us", I suggested. "On it", Jay agreed. "Need help?", Heeseung asked. "No, thanks. I bet Katy is already dying out of curiosity to hear about your exchange, so I guess you two will be good on your own", Jay replied before picking up the bags with the groceries and leaving towards the kitchen. "He's right", I smiled and sat back down on the couch, patting the space next to me. "So? Tell me everything", I encouraged him.

We had settled around the kitchen table, all of us too lazy to get up after the delicious meal as the doorbell rang. I looked at Jay confused: "Another visitor you forgot to tell me about in time?", I asked. He shook his head: "The guys wanted to come over tomorrow, I think." I sighed and got up. "Let's see if you're right", I replied and made my way to the door. As I opened it, my eyes widened. "Sunghoon?", I asked in disbelief. "Hi sis", my brother grinned widely and hugged me before I could protest. "What in the world are you doing here?", I wanted to know after he let go off me. "Am I not allowed to surprise-visit my family?", he asked innocently. I put my hands on my hip and looked at him with raised eyebrows. "Is it because of Heeseung?", I asked with quiet voice. "Maybe?", he shrugged and started to walk towards the living room. I shook my head grinning. Of course, Sunghoon wanted to know every male person I met. When I told him Jay moved in, he had been here for almost a full week until I finally managed to get him out. By now they were close friends.

The four of us moved to the couch in the living room due to not enough space in the kitchen. Sunghoon started to discreetly investigate everything about Heeseung right away. I decided that I wasn't really needed in this conversation and apologized myself, saying I would do the dishes. Later on, Jay followed me to the kitchen to help me. "So. Heeseung's back. What do you think? He has changed, hasn't he?", he asked. "He has lost his baby fat, I guess. Inside and out", I answered, "But then you hear the story of how he has lost his passport at the airport, reported it, found it again, forgot to tell the authorities, almost got arrested because he wanted to enter a plane with a passport reported as missing and therefore missed his flight because the interrogation took a while. And all you think is 'Yep. It's still Heeseung.' He has changed without changing if that makes any sense." Jay chuckled: "I guess you could say that. By the way, what in the world did you tell your brother about my cousin that he is so investigative?", he asked confused. "Nothing. Just his name and that he is your cousin", I shrugged. "That does explain it though. That wasn't enough information at all for Sunghoon", he chuckled.

"Poor Heeseung", I mumbled. "Oh, he's fine. Your brother's very nice to him. I've seen worse of him", he laughed. I looked at him confused. "Remember Niki?", Jay gave back. I sighed. I did. "Poor boy basically got interrogated as if applying to a secret agency", I said. "Why though? Why was he so keen on Niki when he was meeting Jungwon for the first time too?", I wondered. "Well, Niki looks more like a heartbreaker", Jay shrugged. "That's the only reason?", I asked in disbelief. "I guess." "Brothers are complicated." We went silent and continued to clean up.

The time passed and as I returned to the living room, the atmosphere had changed from investigative to friendliness. I relaxed and watched with a smile how the three guys got along. Later, when Sunghoon had to leave, I had to promise to visit him soon in his apartment. It was 8pm as I finally dropped on the couch, exhausted but satisfied. Everything was done, everything went well and everyone was friends. But I couldn't shake off the feeling I forgot something. I reversed the day in my head and realized. I jolted up, making Jay next to me flinch and Heeseung looking at me confused. "My assignment! I have to turn it in today!", I exclaimed and rushed out of the room before the other two processed what I had said.

I guess Jay felt a bit guilty as he quietly walked into my room later on and put my ordered chocolate next to me, wishing me the best of luck to finish it. I smiled at him reassuringly before he left again. Three hours later, I was finished and tired from the day and decided to go to sleep right away. I said my good nights to the other two and fell asleep to the sound of them talking and laughing in the room next door.
