George & Abigail

I was never one for big cities, but when my job relocated me to San Francisco, I had to get used to it whether I liked it or not.

On the day I arrived to my new job, my boss shoved a ticket in my hand.

"First task for the new employee, get accustomed to San Francisco. This is a ticket to a Giants game. Enjoy it, be at work tomorrow at ten."

I didn't know how early was too early was too early, so I headed to the stadium around five when the game started at seven.

Baseball wasn't a sport I was too interested in. I was all for drinking beer with my friends and rooting on our favorite football team, but I moved away and it was time to turn over a new leaf.

I saw an open gate, so I slipped in and started looking around. There were employees, but no one gave me a second look. Ten minutes into my solo tour, I was officially lost.

"Need some help?"

I spun around a baseball player with a smile playing on his lips. It felt as if all the air was sucked from the room. He was gorgeous.

"Yeah, I um, I have no idea where I'm going," I smiled slightly at him, defeated.

"I'm George, I'll show you around. What's your name?"

"Abigail," I smiled.

"That has always been my most favorite girl name. It's so pretty," he said as he linked his arm with mine and pulled me down a corridor.

Instead of talking, I smiled and strolled along with my new friend.
