My fiance finally popped the question, well, the other question. Eric Hosmer asked me to move in with him. Except he bought a brand new house much to my dismay. I was totally against the idea of him spooning out that much cash but he insisted, so I was in no position to turn him down.

"Babe, look at this."

He was holding a wreath made out of crushed beer cans. I scrunched my face up and shook my head. He agreed to let me do all of the decorations if I allowed him to buy the house.

"That's terrible," I said absentmindedly as I looked at lamps.

"It's not that bad," he mumbled.

He strutted past me, kissing my cheek in the process, and set his sights on yet another atrocious thing. He picked up a lamp with a leg as the stand. He saw me shaking my head and rolled his eyes.

"Kyle you have to let me get this."

"What the hell is that, Eric?" I laughed.

A total look of horror took over his face as he stared at me.

"A Christmas Story? Please tell me you've heard of it. I can't believe I'm engaged to a girl who has never seen it!" He said dramatically, shaking the lamp with every word.

"No, I've never seen it and I will not see that gross lamp in our house!"

He sighed louder than necessary but put it back. As he reached for something else, I shook my head.

"Did we not agree that I get to decorate since you bought the house?"

"Yeah but I want something I like in there!" He whined.

"There's a baseball bat lamp in our bedroom, Eric! That's already too much. C'mon, I think we're done."

I grabbed his hand, ignoring his groaning as I pulled him towards the register. As we took things out and laid them on the counter, I found something that only a baseball player could love. It was a collapsable locker room cubicle that you could put in your closet to hang your clothes in.

"Eric?" I held it up and waited for an answer.

"Let me get this and I won't ever ask for anything else."

I grinned and sat it back down.

"Deal."
