Eric & Cass
Eric's hectic schedule meant many nights alone for me, but we got together as often as possible.
"I'm so glad we had time for this, Cass," Eric smiled as he sat across from me at an extremely fancy restaurant.
If it was up to me, we'd be cuddled up on the couch, stuffing our faces with junk food and having a movie marathon. But Eric enjoyed spoiling me, or what he called "giving me what I deserved".
"The city is beautiful at night," I remarked as I looked at the twinkling buildings.
"Not as beautiful as you," I heard Eric mumble.
I turned around to look at him. He had a smug smile and was pretending to mess with his food.
"You know, if we weren't already engaged, I'd think something was up," I joked with smirk of my own.
He shook his head and took a drink of his wine, straightening his posture and staring directly at me.
"I do have something to talk to you about. I wanna talk about kids."
I nearly choked on my pasta. "Kids?"
"Cass," he whined.
"I'm sorry Eric, but kids? We aren't even married yet!" I exclaimed.
"Can I finish? I was talking about after we got married. What do you think about having kids then?"
"I'd love to have kids with you, babe. Did you think I'd say no?"
"I mean we've never really talked about it and you never seemed too fond of them," he smiled.
"What do you mean? I love kids!"
He scoffed. "Jesus, Cass, if I had a dollar for every time your face scrunched up when a kid asked me for an autograph, I wouldn't need to work another day in my life!"
"Shut up, Eric. I love kids, and I'd love to have kids with you. I want nothing more than a perfect little family. Me, you, and Eric jr," I winked.
"I can't argue with that."
He leaned over and gave me a quick but sweet kiss, signaling the end of a good conversation.
