I wake up due to a heavy weight on my chest and quickly notice it's Kid, holding me by the waist. I playfully mess up his hair and caress his cheek. He's still sleeping, probably exhausted from yesterday. I can't help but admire him in his moments of weakness. Am I a creep for enjoying watching him sleep? I guess compared to other pirates I'm extremely sane. It's just- so strange yet satisfying to see him without all this makeup and mad expressions. Just a rested face...
Yesterday was indeed amazing. The sensations I get with this man are different from all the others. His eyes, his face, his body, everything about him always lighten up my darkest thoughts. Knowing I'm the only person who can touch him that way and love him like that, it makes me so happy. A few months ago, I would've purposely thrown myself in the sea if I had those type of... feelings. Now, it's different. I can't say I matured- Maybe I just accepted that love is actually a thing.
My partner wakes up and blinks several times before his eyes can adjust to the sunlight. His amber iris are shining beneath the sun, which only gives him a prettier and fresher look.
You slept for a while, I absolutely destroyed you yesterday, tomato face.
Kid grins and rests his head on my bare chest again. He stares at the sea outside while I listen to the waves crashing into another.
Pfft, you mean I absolutely destroyed you? Depressed turnip.

Kid's POV

I could hear Law's regular and slow heartbeat through his chest. I probably woke up to the prettiest view this morning, Law in my bed, playing with my hair.
Usually, I don't give a damn about how people look at me. Their looks of disgust or fear aren't worth giving a damn. However, it's different for him. I want Law to look at me with something more than just desire. His shiny silver eyes, I want them to look at me with passion- and yes that sounds incredibly unusual for a guy like me. Even I'm surprising myself.
I sit on the bed and gently wrap my arms around Law's torso. I press my chest against his, feeling the warmth of his skin on mine.
Few months ago, I would've avoided or fought him. If someone was to tell Eustass Kid a few months ago he'd end up crazy in love with Trafalgar Law, that person would've gotten their ass killed by me.
That damn island.
I gotta thanks that damn island, even though I'll probably never set a foot on it ever again.
You know I fucking adore you, doctor?
Law smiled and kissed my lips.
