HELP ME!

Chapter 12

Melody (Tommy's Nursery worker)
POV:
(Before Tommy was dropped off that day)

Tommy and Alex were walking up the path, I smile and wave , they were about 30 minutes late but I don't blame them, I'm not sure what is going on with them , but it's clear it's not ok, but unfortunately I cannot do anything about it.
"Hey Tommy, hey Alex,"
I say as Alex hugs the boy and kisses his forehead , giving him his little bag, and I smile,

Tommy walks up to me and I open the door and I look confused when I see Alex walking away, "Alex? Aren't you coming in?"

"I'm sorry I'm super late for school!" He turns back to me and started to walk even faster

Hmm, what's gonna happen now? I think to myself

I walk into the coat room with Tommy, hanging his coat up, and I noticed the hood is starting to tear up.

I walk with Tommy into the main room, where there are children with there parents , as today was a parent child day, and even tho I've only ever met Tommys dad once, Alex is always the one who gets him ready, and Tommy always talks so fondly of Alex.

"Mewody, what happening?" Tommy says , looking up at me

"Oh, it was supposed to be parents day, today"

"O...oh... I..I'm sorrry" he seemed to almost whimper, and I kneel down and hug him, and lead him into the outside of the circle, and he sits in there, and he seemed to get lost into the movie that was playing as all the other kids and parents watched along.

After a hour I stopped the videos, and then they all started playing and I was watching over, making sure everyone was being safe, and I saw Tommy playing alone, I feel instantly bad, and didn't know what to do, so I go over to him

"Hey buddy, you ok?"

He looks up at me, and nods and shows me a dinosaur he made out of some Lego and makes a Rour sound, and I laugh and smile
"Do you want to play outside?"

He nods and takes the Lego with him, and is giggling as he is running around, and I go inside to check on the others , as some of the people were inside and others were outside , within the gated part, and I start to
Prepare lunch, as it's only a 1/2 day today

10 minutes later

I hear a child crying and run out, I see my
co-worker ,Rachael goes to the crying child , and I see a bunch of broken Lego and I instantly realise what happened

I see Rachel picking up Tommy and bringing him into a small first aid room, and I go and pick up the Lego, putting it aside for when he wants it back, and I keep making the food

"Hey Mel?"

"Yeah ?"
I turn to see Rachel peaking her head in the kitchen door,

"Can you go and check on Tommy? There are some strange marks on him"

"Oh ok, can you do the food and I'll go check"

I walk not the room and tommys pants were down, as his knees were scraped and he had tears down his cheeks and he was sitting on the side
"Hey Tommy? You ok?"

He gently nodded and wipes his eyes.

I then wipe down his knees with disinfectant, and the I noticed the bruises on his upper legs that seemed to lead into his diaper and on his ankles

"What happened there?" I point at it and he looked confused

"I..I messed up game" he tears up as starts silently crying,
