Don't Let Go
Chapter nine
Sammi looked at me quizzically; I tapped my foot looking around the room. It was simple with its white walls, beige bedspread on a double bed and there was a small television in the corner. Overall it was enough for the for the two weeks we were staying here.
It was the early afternoon and the sun was blazing through grey curtain so it was easy to say that it would be hours before we could go a club. We rarely go to clubs, we usually just go to bars and have a few drinks but not enough to get completely drunk.
"I like it," I said looking to my side as Sammi assessed the room. She nodded and sighed through her nose. I frowned at her, worried to what she was thinking.
"My mum called yesterday," she said rolling her eyes, I looked at her expectantly waiting for her to continue because I don't see the problem. Her mum was great not always there but great nonetheless.
She walked over to the bed, sitting down and put her face in her hands. I sat beside her and looked at the wall; I was concerned of course, this was unusual behaviour for her, but I let her cool down not wanting to push her. To the point were she'll break down. She looked at me with teary eyes, "My mum found a boyfriend".
"That's great news," I smiled, she shook her head and leaning forward slightly. "Come on, Sam. Now she won't be lonely anymore. She now has someone to take care of her, love her even. I reasoned with her.
"I didn't even know she was dating. Let alone she was interested in someone." I opened my mouth but she continued anyway "What if she forget about me and leaves me like dad did?" I shook my head. Lily adores Sammi, she's so proud of her. When Sammi was fifteen she already knew what she wanted to be; a lawyer she said that she wanted to help the innocent. Over these three years she's gotten kick-ass grades and a scholar-ship. The only thing I'm bummed out about is the scholar-ship is to a completely different country.
"Your mum loves you, she will never leave you and the reason why she kept it a secret was that she was afraid you wouldn't approve and not accept it," I reasoned I hugged her tightly.
She breathed a laugh and pulled away, rubbing the tears from her eyes. "I guess you're right. Thank you, Rose," she smiled at me and I smiled back. I knew everything would be alright.

After a few hours of lounging around it was night and I was still wasn't ready. My body was wrapped in a bright pink towel and my newly coloured nails were an emerald green. I shook my head at all my dresses that I had packed. They were either floral or too plain for the night life. I gave up and just put on black lace bra and panties. I started on my makeup opting for black smoky eyes and a cherry coloured lipstick; my hair was left curly.
Suddenly Sammi walked in, "Jesus, Rose. You wanted to go out and you're still not read yet?" She said looking at me in impatience, I looked at her sheepishly looking at my clothes thrown on the floor.
"I have no clothes to wear though," I pouted, folding my arms across my chest, assessing her quickly. Her loose blonde curls were in a side bun with a blue ribbon tied around it. Her clothes were casual but she managed to pull it off for the nightlife; a light blue, jean jacket, that was buttoned up hugging her hips and bust while her slender legs were fitted in dark red jeans and dark blue pumps. "You look good, Justin's not going to be able to resist you," I said, winking at her.
She just giggled at me and rolled her eyes. I tuck my tongue at her. "I know just the thing," she said her eyes widening slightly; I watched her as she pulled my tight leather jeans and a simple white crop top. "And just wear your white heels with this and you're ready to go," she clicked her tongue, dumping the clothes in my hands and shooing me across the from our bedroom. We hadn't seen the boys, which was weird, since we live in the same apartment as them.
