Neo

A buzzing sound. It's like millions of bees culminating all at once. That's what Neo awakes to.

A layer of grey blurriness coats her vision as her eyes gradually start to open.

She's laid down on a cold, hard floor. Neo manages to regain the majority of her consciousness and she pushes herself up by a little. She looks down at her body and identifies that she's wearing a baggy blue jumpsuit and plain white socks. A bright blue light is flashing on the centre of a black vest-like garment that is wrapped around her chest.

Memories of what had previously occurred hit her like a rock into glass. Instant panic fills her entire body.

Neo jumps up to her feet and examines her surroundings.

She's in a cell, that much is obvious. It's got a glass window that closes her in and inside is a blue mattress, a metal toilet and sink, a tiny desk and a small metal side-table. Her breaths quicken as the realisation of her situation washes over her.

Neo tries to smash open the window with her powers but nothing works. Nothing like this has happened before. 'It's this stupid vest!' She thinks to herself. It must be a power suppressor of sort. She charges at the glass and instantly gets an electric shock in return. That doesn't stop her. She tries again. And again.

Natasha

Natasha hurries down to the cell as soon as she notices that Neo's awake on the CCTV. The girl is attempting to smash open the glass with her body.

"Neo, stop that. It's hurting you". Natasha sternly orders.

A look of betrayal coats the girls' face. "You said you wouldn't put me in a cell!" She yells. "When I took you to my apartment, you said this wouldn't' happen!"

"That was before you had half of S.H.I.E.L.D chase you through New York. Baby, this isn't going to be permanent but we can't have you hurt anyone". Natasha voice attempts to soothe.

"Don't call me 'baby', I'm not your kid anymore. Just get me out of here". The young girls' voice turns to something more similar to a plead.

"I can't do that. But I'm not going to leave you alone in here. I need you to talk to me if you want to get out of it. You need to tell me everything, no more 'I can't' or 'you're not my mum', this is bigger than your excuses not to speak. I am your mum, whether you agree or disagree, we both know it's the truth. Just talk to me". Natasha responds. Neo hesitates for a few seconds before smashing herself back into the glass again in an attempt to break it and receiving an electric shock in return. Natasha huffs. "I told you to stop that, you'll hurt yourself".

"Fuck you". The girl hits into it again, her body shuddering at the shock.

"Neo..." Natasha warns. The girl hits the glass again. Natasha opens up the door to the cell and swiftly enters. She steps over to Neo and pulls her over to the mattress; she carefully pushes the girl down.

"Get off me!" Neo yells as she kicks against Natasha's chest that hover's just above her.

Natasha keeps her held down, being gentle enough not to hurt her. "Neo, I'm not going to fight you, but you can't hit that window anymore, okay? It's going to seriously hurt you". Neo continues to kick at Natasha as she tries to escape the woman's grip but due to the agent having far superior strength, the young girl doesn't get too far. "Neo!" Natasha raises her voice to focus her daughter. Neo pauses for a second. "I don't want you to be put in restraints but if other high ranking agents see you acting like this then you'll have to. Please, just listen to me".
