❛ Perhaps one day we could meet again. With the forgiving and kind nature that mends.❜

She coughed through the dust that was starting to cake the insides of her lungs

She coughed through the dust that was starting to cake the insides of her lungs. The tunnel wasn't bright enough to make out her hand so she and Rheaghal kept close, using their senses to guide themselves out. Her brother had been able to knock their guard out and grab a hammer from the closet before Visha hammered through the floor. It was a lot thinner than they'd expected. Her mind went on high alert after they dropped inside the tunnel.

"Can you light the fire again?" she whispered, her senses prickling as the darkness swam around them. Rheaghal was quiet before a soft crackle echoed in the tunnel and the walls were illuminated by a soft warm glow.

Visha and her brother were both elementalists—they could wield certain aspects of nature to their own will. She could wield water, was able to change its physical states and give it form. However, Rheaghal was a pyrokinetic. He loved playing with fire.

"There," her brother whispered. "The door."

They ran towards it, trying to breathe as little of the dust around them as possible.

Indeed, the metal door was dark and had odd engravings on it. Snakes were embedded everywhere and it had odd writing on it as well. Visha didn't want to tangle with whatever secrets the door held. Who knows what odd incantations the moon clan kept around this damned place. She had seen crazy things from the moon clan before—had no interest in taking a look around now.

"Let's get out of here," she whispered, grabbing the handle and yanking it open.

The sunlight spilled out and they broke through the darkness of the tunnel. The fresh air was life breathing as the trees around them swayed in the wind.

Visha and Rheaghal make a break for it. Running over fallen trees, boulders, and other obstacles, they only stopped once they came to a river with flowing water.

"Fuck wait," her brother hissed.

Visha turned around before looking back towards the river. "We're so close Rhal, just a few more steps and I can help with the pain."
