A week later I as having a video call with my boss.

"So how it is going?" John asked and I sighed.

"Really well actually. I have found an amazing coffee shop near me and a bar. My neighbor and her friend have been very helpful." I explained and he nodded with a smile.

"Good. Anything on parks or anything yet?" John asked.

"No still looking around. I have a dog park I need to check and a nature trail by the apartment but that's it. I know what you want John just give me time to work it all out." I said and he nodded with a smile.

"How are you settling in?" John asked and I smiled with a sighed.

"Very well actually. I love the apartment and Perdy is becoming a Boston dog." I said and we both laughed.

"Well good. Have you seen him?" John asked and I groaned.

"Really?" I asked.
"I'm just wondering." John asked and I hung my head.

"You have!" John said and I sighed.

"Once. He was across the street and he was walking with his brother. At least that's who Lexi and her friend Ash told me he was with and to answer your next question no I did not approach him." I said and he sighed.

"How are you going to get quotes if you aren't willing to approach him?" John asked and I sighed.

"Never said I was going to get quotes from him John. I can get quotes from anyone around town. Towns people are better." I said.

"And he is a townsperson." John said and I groaned.

"I'm not arguing about this. I'm not going to just run up to Chris Evans and ask for quotes about living in Boston and Concord. Just let me play this out okay?" I asked and he sighed.

"Fine." He said and I huffed a laugh as Perdy was pawing at the door.

"Hey, I got to go. I promised Perdy the dog park and she is pawing at the door. She needs to run around." I said and John nodded.

"Alright, have fun." John said and I closed the laptop.

"You are the best little assistant getting me out of a meeting with John." I said to Perdy and hooked her up to her leash, got on my shoes and jacket. I stopped and got a cup of coffee on the way to the dog park. Once we arrived Perdy was the only dog but I knew she wouldn't care. I opened the gate and released her from her leash and she went running around like a mad dog making me laugh. I took some pictures and videos of Perdy. I was leaning on the fence drinking my coffee and scrolling through my phone and emails when I heard the gate open.

"Is your dog friendly?" I heard a voice ask and I smiled.

"She is very friendly. Yours?" I asked and didn't look up at the voice.

"Yeah, he is." The voice said and I nodded.

"Go play Dodger." The voice said and he released his dog and I realized who it was now standing close beside me.

"What's her name?" He asked and I gave a small smile looking at this guys standing next to me.

"Perdy..." I said and he smiled.

"Like 101 Dalmatians." He said and I nodded.

"Make sense since she is one and I love that movie." I said and he nodded.

"I mean you named your dog after who he looks like." I said and Chris huffed a laugh.

"Yeah I did...Oliver and Company...great movie." Chris said and I nodded.

"I agree." I said and he smiled as I looked at him.

"I'm Chris, by the way." He said extended his hand and I gave a small smile.

"I know who you are...god that makes me sound like a stalker or crazed fan." I said placing my head in my hand I didn't use to shake his and he laughed.

"Just a little bit." Chris said and I sighed.

"Just saying I know who you are. The hat doesn't really conceal much." I said and he smiled.

"I'm Genevieve, Viv." I said introducing myself and he smiled.

"That's pretty." Chris said and I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks." I said and he sighed.

"Heard that before?" Chris asked and I nodded.

"All the time. Something about the French name." I said and he laughed.

"It's a lot different and not as normal as Chris." He said and I laughed.

"You know what my name is in English?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Jennifer. One of the most common names in English." I said and he laughed.

"Well Genevieve sounds better." Chris said and I smiled at him. I looked back at out at the dogs playing and smiled.

"So I haven't seen you here before..." Chris said and I shook my head.

"I just moved to town last week, for work." I said and Chris smiled and nodded.

"Oh nice what do you do?" Chris asked.

"I write for a travel magazine. They want a piece on what to do in Boston and Concord in the fall and winter and just placed all around town." I said and Chris smiled.

"That sounds amazing. There will be tons to do and see this fall and winter." Chris said and I smiled.

"Really? Anything in particular I should look out for?" I asked and Chris thought for a minute.

"Downtown Concord at the start of December has this Christmas festival. They light a big tree and have like small shops set up. Very nice little community thing." Chris said and I took the notes on my phone.

"That sounds amazing." I said and Chris nodded.

"Me and my family go every year." Chris said and I sighed.

"You have a big family?" I asked and he chuckled.

"You could say that. I have a younger and older sister and a younger brother and 2 nephews and a niece." Chris said and I shook my head.

"Wow, being an only child sounds awesome right now." I said and Chris laughed.

"So no siblings?" Chris asked and I shook my head.

"Nope. Just me, literally now." I said and Chris looks at me confused.

"My parents and grandmother all passed away recently. All I have is Perdy." I said and Chris sighed.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Chris said sounding sincere.

"Thank you." I said and gave a small smile. I looked out at the dogs again and smiled as my cellphone went off and I groaned.

"I have to get going, need to start an article." I said and Chris smiled. I then whistled for Perdy to come and she did.

"Hey, um....let me give you my number. The Disney duo got along well and we can maybe meet up here again for them to play. Also being new to town everyone could use a friend." Chris said and I smiled and handed my phone as I hooked Perdy up to her leash. Once he was done he handed me my phone back.

"I text myself so I had your number too." Chris said and I nodded.

"Sounds good. Thanks. If I have any questions about something to do, I may just text you." I said and he laughed.

"Go ahead. I 'd love to hear from you." Chris said and I smiled. He leaned down and petted Perdy and I smiled.

"Bye pretty girl." Chris said to Perdy and then looked at me. I smiled.

"Bye Chris." I said.

"Bye Viv." Chris said as I walked away. As soon as I got far enough away I felt my breath catch.

"Shit." I said to myself.
