A week later I was grocery shopping and standing at the ice cream case just looking trying to decide.
"Please tell me you are getting some Brigham's." I heard someone say behind me and I turned to see Chris standing there. I smiled at him as he smiled at me.
"Never had it." I said and Chris smiled shaking his head.
"You wouldn't have. It's only exclusive to Boston." Chris said and opened the case and handed me a pint of Cookies and Cream and I just looked at him when I saw him put one in his cart as well.
"Trust me, you won't be disappointed." Chris said.
"I'm putting a lot of trust in you Evans. I don't just trust anyone with my ice cream choices." I said and he laughed.
"I feel honored." Chriss said and I laughed.
"Chris Evans, Captain America himself eats ice cream." I said and I put the ice cream in my cart and we continued down the aisle together.
"Yeah don't tell anyone. And I'm not Cap anymore so it's okay." Chris said and I nodded.
"Very true." I said and Chris looked at me.
"Wait does that mean you watch the avengers movies?" Chris said and I smiled and hung my head.
"Maybe..." I said and Chris smiled.
"Favorite character?" Chris asked and I laughed.
"You think I will say Cap because you are here don't you?" I asked and he laughed.
"Just tell me." Chris said and I laughed.
"Loki.....and Cap." I said and Chris laughed.
"Of course, always Loki." Chris said and we laughed. We continued shopping together getting all the groceries we needed and then we headed to the check out. Once out of the store Chris followed me to my car.
"Where are you parked?" I asked and Chris pointed down from my car and I smiled.
"You can go to your car Evans." I said and Chris laughed.
"Okay well I expect to hear from you when you eat the ice cream." Chris said and I laughed.
"You are very sure of yourself on this ice cream thing." I said and Chris laughed.
"I am. I know you'll love it." Chris said and I laughed.
"Well I will text you when I eat it and let you know." I said and Chris smiled.
"Sounds good." Chris said and I smiled as I loaded my groceries in my car.
"You going to be at the dog park tomorrow?" Chris asked and I sighed.
"Um...I can be. What time?" I asked and he smiled.
"2pm?" Chris asked and I nodded.
"Sounds good." I said and Chris smiled.
"See you tomorrow." Chris said and walked to his car and I smiled as I got in my car and drove home.

Later that night I had finished eating dinner, fed Perdy and was sitting down to have the ice cream. I shook my head and laughed as I took a bite. Once I finished the bite I pulled out my phone and sighed.
VIV: Alright you may have been right about the ice cream.
CHRIS: Not sure why you thought I would lie to you.
VIV: I don't know you Evans. You could have an in with the ice cream company and get a kick back.
CHRIS: Wow...hurts Viv.
VIV: Truth hurts, but the ice cream is amazing.
VIV: Although it's black and white like Perdy, should I feel slightly wrong about this?😮
CHRIS: Never thought about that. Poor Perdy.😥
I sent Chris a picture of the ice cream and Perdy looking at me from the background on her dog bed.
VIV: It's like she knows.
CHRIS: You need protecting?
VIV: I think if I take her out for her nightly walk she will be okay and forgive me.
CHRIS: You go out by yourself at night with her?
VIV: Yes Chris, I'm safe trust me. It's a trail by my apartment. I used to take her out at night in New York. I think I'm okay.
CHRIS: Can you do me a favor?
VIV: Depends.
CHRIS: Can you let me know when you leave and when you get back? I'm sorry I worry.
I smiled at this and I couldn't help but feel some butterflies take off in my stomach.
VIV: I have a neighbor that check on me Chris.
CHRIS: Viv, please....
VIV: Okay, fine. I will text you when I leave and when I get back.
CHRIS: Thank you.
VIV: Now I'm going to eat my ice cream so I can go on Perdy's walk.
I ate a little more ice cream and looked at Perdy once I put it away.
"Do you really need a walk tonight?" I asked and she barked at me and I smiled.
"Okay fine, such a diva." I said and got her on her leash and I text Chris once we got outside.
VIV: On the trail now, out for the walk.
CHRIS: Be careful.
I shook my head and put my phone in my pocket and just took Perdy on her walk. Once we got home I pulled my cellphone back out.
VIV: Home safe and sound.
CHRIS: Good. Now I can go to sleep knowing you will be at the dog park safe and sound tomorrow.
VIV: See you tomorrow Chris. Good night.
CHRIS: Good night Viv.

It was next day and I was busy working and writing the first outline of the article that was going to be due for a rough draft soon. I groaned and took my glasses off rubbing my face.
"Perdy, is it too early to day drink?" I asked looking at her laying at my feet at my desk. I then looked at the clock to see what time it was.
"2:45." I said and stretched. I went to stand up and then sighed grabbing my phone and checking it.
CHRIS: Are we still meeting today?
"Shit!" I yelled and rushed to the door and put in my shoes.
"Perdy! Dog park." I said and she came running in and I placed her on her leash.
"Please still be there." I said as I rushed out of the apartment.
