*****A FEW MONTHS LATER*****
I was pacing in my apartment after my call I just had with John. I had 2 puppies nipping my heels as I walked. Chris and I kept 2. Patch and Rollie. They both had dalmatian spots but in brown the same color as Dodger. Patch had one over his eye and Rollie, his name was self-explanatory, such a fatty but I loved him so much. I mostly loved his all-brown nose. Perdy was also watching me and I groaned.
"I started a dog family with this man, I can't leave Concord." I said to her and she barked and the puppies stopped nipping at my heels and barked and I smiled at them. I sat down on the floor and loved on all the dogs. Chris came walking in about 20 minutes later and saw my holding the puppies and was upset.
"Viv?" Chris asked and I looked up at him.
"They want me back in New York." I blurted out and it was like his knees gave out as he sat on the couch behind me where I was on the floor.
"They don't want you to cover spring and summer?" Chris asked and I shook my head.
"They said it's not going to change much and isn't needed." I said and Chris sighed. I leaned back and my head hit his stomach since he was sitting on the edge of the couch.
"What do we do? I need to work." I said and he groaned.
"I don't you to go back to New York. I love you." Chris said and I nodded.
"And I love you...." I said.
"So stay...quit your job and stay here. We can find you a new job." Chris said and I put the puppies on the floor, turned around and propped myself up on my knee between his legs. He smiled at my position.
"Chris, I won't have enough money to live in this place if I did that." I said and he placed his hand on mine that were on his thighs.
"So move in with me." Chris said and I looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"What?" I asked and he sighed.
"I was thinking about this even if you got to stay. Why not just move in with me? I mean the dogs could be together, we could be together. It's been about 5 months together seriously, why not move in together. I mean we have a dog family together." Chris said and I laughed and shook my head. I pushed up on his thighs and stood up and he pulled me into his lap to straddle him.
"You think this will get me to move in with you?" I asked and he bucked his hips and I moaned.
"I have a few ways..." Chris said and pulled me down to him but went for my neck to my most sensitive spot below my ear and started nipping and kissing.
"Chris...no fair..." I said and he I felt him smile and I gripped his hair and pulled him back to be face to face with me."Great I stay but there is still the little problem of no job." I said as Chris sighed.
"We can work on that, just please don't go back to New York. Please stay with me." Chris begged in almost a whisper and I could tell he was almost heartbroken. I leaned in a passionately kissed him. I was about to answer him when my cellphone rang in my pocket. I looked at the number confused.
"It's a local number..." I said and Chris looked confused.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Is this Genevieve Kennedy?" a voice asked and I got even more confused.
"Yes." I said.
"This is Thomas Jenkins from The Concord Journal." He said and looked at Chris and crawled off his lap.
"Yes, Mr. Jenkins, how can I help you?" I asked.
"Well actually this is about me helping you. I just got off with John Bernard, your boss." Thomas said.
"Yes...." I said still confused.
"Well I heard the pieces you were doing for the travel magazine aren't continuing and I was wondering if you would be interested in a job with us to do an Around the Town piece of everything of things going on in Concord and Surrounding areas for us once a week." Thomas said and I looked at Chris and smiled, he looked at me confused only hearing my side of the conversation which wasn't giving away much.
"I would love that Mr. Jenkins. I have come to love Concord and couldn't imagine myself anywhere else." I said and Chris smiled broadly and quickly pinned me on the couch. I had to hide my squeal and giggle.
"Well we would love to have you come in this week sometime and discuss the piece and sign your contract." Mr. Jenkins.
"Of course, why don't I call you after I talk to my job in New York and we set something up." I said and I was looking at Chris who was hovering over me smiling.
"Sounds amazing, can't wait to hear from you." He said and hung up. Once I hung up Chris passionately kissed me and I moaned in his kiss.
"You love Concord?" Chris asked as we broke apart.
"I do. I love the town, the people and a certain man and his entire family who live here." I said and Chris smiled.
"Who was on the phone?" Chris asked.
"Is that really what you want to talk about right now?" I asked and he moaned and shook his head. He got off me and dragged me to the bedroom and we undressed the entire way. Once we got to my room we shut the door so no dogs followed. I pushed Chris down on the bed and he laughed looking at me as I slipped my panties off and he growled.
"I'm in control." I said and I crawled on top of him and lowered myself on him and he threw his head back and moaned. I started moving back and forth on him slowly and he looked up at me and smiled. He pushed himself up so I was sitting in his lap and we were face to face. He leaned in and passionately kissed me as I continued to moved and then he moved down my body and place a nipple in his mouth I cried out.
"Chris...." I said and he flicked my nipple with his tongue then moved to the other as I started moving faster as he worked his way up to my ear, kissing the whole way.
"I need you to cover me." Chris whispered in my war and I moaned out my release as he released. Chris fell back on the bed and I collapsed on top of him. I kissed his chest a few times then rolled off.
"We get to keep doing that now that I'm staying." I said and Chris laughed. We rolled to look at each other.
"We could do it a lot more if you moved in with me." Chris said and I smiled.
"That sounds amazing." I said and Chris smiled.
"So you'll do it you'll move in?" Chris asked.
"Well I am staying in Concord now and we do have a dog family together...." I trailed off and Chris wrapped me in his arms and pulled me against him and I giggled.
"And they hate living in a broken home." Chris said and I laughed shaking my head.
"Then I guess the only solution would be to take the job with the Concord Journal and move in with my amazing boyfriend and our dog family." I said and Chris smiled and passionately kissed me.
"Sounds like a great life plan to me." Chris said and I nodded.
