A few weeks later Chris and I had made appointments at the vet for checkups on the dogs and I needed to see what was wrong with Perdy, she wasn't herself. I was sitting in the waiting room nervous as she laid at my feet and Chris held my hand. Dodger was laying looking at Perdy.
"I can't lose her Chris..." I said and he looked at me as I stared off into space.
"What?" Chris asked confused.
"I can't lose her." I said and Chris sighed.
"She is going to be fine Viv. You wont lose her." Chris said and pulled me to him and wrapped his arm around me as I placed my head on his shoulder.
"Viv and Perdy." The vert tech said coming and getting Perdy and I. I took a shaky breath and headed back to an exam room with Perdy.
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
"Wait...what?!" I asked in shock as the vet delivered the news and showed me the x-ray.
"She's pregnant." The vet said and I groaned and looked at Perdy.
"Really?!" I asked and she just looked at me and huffed. I groaned.
"I would say she has about 40 more days to go. A usual pregnancy for dogs is around 60 days." The vet said and I groaned.
"Can you have Chris and Dodger come in here please?" I asked the vet. He needed and left the room. Chris and Dodger came in a few minutes later. I looked down at Dodger.
"Congratulations, you're going to be daddy!" I said and Chris looked at me confused.
"What?!" Chris asked and I groaned.
"Perdy's pregnant." I said and Chris looked at me and I showed him the x-ray.
"She wasn't fixed?!" Chris asked shocked.
"No. Obviously not." I said and Chris groaned.
"Well, what do we do now?" Chris asked.
"She has the puppies Chris, I mean geez." I said and he sighed.
"Right but do we separate them, keep them together. What do we do?" Chris asked and I sighed.
"We can keep the separate, it will be fine. I mean we can still being them around each other. We will have to see where she nest the most though closer to her due date." I said and Chris nodded. I got Perdy off the exam table and we headed out. We went back to Chris's house and the dogs laid on the huge pillow we bought them to share. Chris and I cuddled on the couch.
"So your dog got my dog pregnant." I said and Chris laughed.
"Hey Perdy's owner is a pretty fast mover, maybe she learn from her." Chris said and I laughed. I sat up and quickly straddled Chris and he groaned as I bore down on him.
"Are you complaining?" I asked as I leaned in and kissed him and started grinding on him.
"God, no." Chris said as our lips barely parted. As he moved his lips to my and started running his hands up underneath the back of my shirt there was a knock on his front door. We both groaned but I shook my head.
"Ignore them, they will go away." I whispered and Chris chuckled and we continued to make out. They kept knocking.
"Chris it's Megan!" She yelled and I quickly pulled my face back from his and he groaned.
"It's not what you think....Megan is my manager and publicist. She handles mostly everything for me." Chris said and I nodded. I got off his lap and he went to the door and let her in. She saw me sitting on the couch and smiled.
"Finally, I meet the mystery girl." She said and I smiled.
"Genevieve, Viv for short." I said and she smiled shaking my hand.
"I'm Megan, I get him taken care of." She said and I laughed.
"I'm sorry, must be a task." I said and laughed as Chris groaned.
"You two meeting is going to be a problem." Chris said and I laughed.
"I actually needed to talk to you about you two." Megan said and Chris groaned.
"Why? What happened?" Chris asked.
"You were spotted together leaving the vet's office with the dogs and overheard about your dog being pregnant." Megan said and I looked at Chris.
"So are we going to have to go public?" I asked and Megan sighed.
"It probably wouldn't hurt." Megan said and I looked at Chris.
"My job Chris...." I said and he nodded.
"He was going to find out eventually. Let it come out naturally and then we can discuss the interview later." I said and Megan looked at us confused.
"I'll explain later." Chris said and she nodded.
"So how do we want to do this?" Megan asked and I sighed.
"This is on you guys...I have no clue." I said and Chris smiled.
"I have an idea..." Chris said with a smile and I looked at Megan.
"Should we be concerned?" I asked and she huffed a laugh.
"Most likely." Megan said.

A few days later Chris and I were posting the pictures to our Instagram. We had Megan take a cute one with the dogs with a sign saying they were making their mom and dad grandparents. It was all Chris's idea and I thought it was super cute. There was also just a few pictures of Chris and I together that we posted. I was sitting in my apartment writing up an article on places to go on dates in town when a video chat came through my computer and I looked at Chris who was on my couch.
"Here it comes..." I said and Chris smiled.
"Hey." I said answered the chat.
"Um....you have some news you want to share?" John asked and I shrugged.
"I mean Perdy is pregnant." I said and he sighed.
"Right and who is the father?" John asked.
"A dog named Dodger." I said and he sighed.
"Viv!" He said and I smiled as Chris came over and got in the frame.
"John meet Chris, Chris meet John my boss." I said and John smiled.
"Mr. Evans, it's so nice to meet you." He said and I smiled.
"Chris would be fine." Chris said and wrapped his arms around my waist and I smiled.
"So this really is a thing?" John asked and I laughed.
"You think the pictures lie?" I asked and he shook his head with a smile.
"Well I just said ask him for an interview, not to be your boyfriend." John said and we all laughed.
"Well it was part of the deal, I do her interview and she dates me." Chris said and we all laughed again.
"So you are willing to do the interview?" John asked and Chris nodded.
"I am. As long as Viv is conducting the interview..." Chris said and John nodded.
"Yeah of course. Viv, we will talk later about the questions to ask later. You go have fun and take care of Perdy." John said and I nodded.
"We will." I said. I ended the video call and turned in Chris's grip and placed my arms around his neck.
"You know you have to be on your best behavior when I interview you..." I said and Chris groaned.
"You will make that extremely hard." Chris said and leaned in and passionately kissed me. I moved a hand from around his neck to the front of his jeans.
"Looks like something else is extremely hard." I said and smiled at Chris.
