"Callie, what's wrong?" Hailey came up to my side at the bar.
"I'm getting drunk," I replied with my mouth already becoming dry from the alcohol. The room was rambunctious with the boys up on stage singing. I had been taking shots by myself at the bar for the past twenty minutes and words were slowly losing their meaning as I threw back my sixth glass of tequila, wincing as it burned down my throat.
"I can see," Hailey ordered a glass of water and pulled me back into the crowd of dancing and jumping twenty year olds. With the amount of alcohol now coating my veins, I had no filtration system for my vocabulary when I didn't like the way some guy was dancing close to me.
"Can you move?" I talked over the music and faced the oblivious man with a scowl holding my features. "Hey! Excuse me!" I pulled at his arm to get his attention. The man turned and nodded at me thinking I was hitting on him. "Ew no! Can you go dance somewhere else? You're completely ruining my vibe!"
Hailey was notorious for being the bitchy one at clubs, so I'm sure this was giving her something to enjoy.
"Buh-bye!" Hailey smirked and turned me back around laughing at how distraught the guy became as we publicly humiliated him.
"Just like old times, Hailz," I wrapped my arm around her neck and hung my weight onto her, having her now hold me up for the dancing.
"Callie! What the hell!" she was laughing in my ear and I closed my eyes listening to the fucked up boy on stage sing his heart out.
"You should probably stay, probably stay a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home, oh
You should probably stay here with me a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home
Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
And it's not good to be all alone
Don't go, it's not the same when you're gone
Come on let me change your ticket home, oh"
I started singing along with him, however, I didn't know the words so it was just sporadic words being sung out of my mouth and I'm sure I looked like a fool, but I was happy. I didn't have any worries in the moment. I was just singing along with someone and I wasn't worried about who was watching.
Hailey pulled my arm off her neck and stood me up straight ruining my "give no fucks" mood. "Callie, you are shit faced!" she was laughing at me and then scanned the crowd. "We're going to get kicked out if you don't chill!"
I stood straight and leaned my face into her's, shaking my head as if it was obvious how relaxed I was, "I'm so chill, Hailey! I'm basically an ice cube!" I bounced my head back and opened my arms as if I gave the best comeback of all time.
"Callie," Hailey pulled at my shirt as I started spinning around to the music.
"Hailey back off!" I pushed her hand and moved into the crowd running away from her. I found a good spot near the front and danced around flinging my dark waves around having a genuine time alone.
"Aren't we way past that?
Playin' hard to get
We did that when we were younger"
"When we were younger," I singed after the man on stage and jumped around. A man came up beside me to dance and I rolled my eyes at him before walking away to the other side of the crowd, still near the front.
I continued my good time there and accidentally hit into someone spilling their drink all over them.
"I'm so sorry!" I slurred and became unbalanced, about to fall over. Oh, I fell over. I was now on the sticky ground with my head feeling heavier than ever. Maybe if I just lay down?...
"Callie, what the hell is wrong with you?" Hailey was now standing over me like how I pictured God when he would consider to let me into his fancy palace when I pass on. Her blonde hair looked like Medusa's snakes, going every which way imaginable.
"Your hair looks awful," I cracked myself up and she rolled her eyes at me.
"You're being a child and you're ruining my night," she pulled at my arm and lifted me back onto my feet.
"Whatever, you do this every night. Some people actually have to work for a living not pose and get naked," I chuckled pushing her off me attempting to go back into the chaos of Harry's audience.
"Wow, nice one, Callie," she tugged harder onto my arm, pulling my face to look at hers. "Let's go talk this out in the back, ok?"
"No," I giggled and was soon being approached by security. "Fine," I became scared of being kicked out so she ran ahead of me and pushed me to the artist's entry next to the stage.
I grabbed a water bottle from the table and sat on the couch where Harry earlier ruined his new image for me. I ran my hand over the table and little crystals of the powder stuck to my palm. I showed Hailey and she frowned asking what is was.
"Coke," I replied becoming aware of my state. I had no clue what I was thinking getting drunk. Work tomorrow was going to be hell with this upcoming hangover.
"Why is there coke on the table?" her eyes slanted and her eyebrows crowded inward.
"Because Harry and Dean do it," I dusted my hand off on my jeans and felt the nausea hit me like a shovel being slammed into my face. "I need a toilet," I covered my mouth and tried to run to any other place other than the couch. I found a toilet and I curled up around it, hurling the vile alcohol from my stomach, the acid burning my esophagus and throat.
I was crying now, from the hatred I had for myself for getting this wasted and for the news of my future being taken from me so suddenly after all my hopes had risen. It was like someone had handed you a silver platter of what could be and then told you this bullshit. That's what Harry's cocaine addiction was, bullshit. He omitted from telling me this for this specific reason. He knew I wouldn't be ok with what he was doing, and he was selfish enough to hide it from me so he could have me and manipulate my feelings again.
No, this is complete bullshit!
"Shhh," Hailey ran her fingers through my hair as I cried, letting all the tears I was creating fall down my cheeks, the salt water merging into my mouth with the acidic vile taste it held. But, those weren't the only things that held a nasty place in my mouth, Harry held a nasty taste in my mouth now.
