"I can walk home," I pulled my wrist from his hand when he wasn't as aware. I smiled goodbye to him as he hung up the phone and I started my shameful walk alone back to my apartment. A few steps into my walk, my side was warm from Harry's body shielding me from the breeze. I gazed up at him and then back down at my feet feeling embarrassed about the way I acted at dinner.
"I thought by now you would learn to take a hint, Ms. Steele," Harry spoke with sarcasm that I wasn't sure of.
I scrunched my brows when I looked up at him again while we walked. He was biting the inside of his cheek and then rolled his eyes, pouting his lips when he realized I didn't understand.
"Never mind," he sighed while I scrunched my shoulders when the wind picked up and made goosebumps appear on my arms. I swallowed when I took another glance up at him and then saw his hard stare straight ahead.
"How many men have you fucked since me?"
My eyes shot back up to him in complete shock. Was this all about how many men I've slept with? I scoffed and rolled my eyes, crossing my arms in front of my chest. "I don't think that's any of your business."
I ground my teeth together completely taken aback by his question. We crossed the street twice before he spoke again.
"You're right. It's not my business and it probably never will be again, but how long did it take for you to sleep with someone else after I did what I did?"
Only a block left until I was in front of my apartment.
"Less than a month," I swallowed nothing, my mouth was dry and my throat wanted to scream at my brain for saying anything.
"A week? Two weeks?" Harry srunched his face in what I assumed was anger. I kept moving forward hoping for this horrific night to end.
"Well, its... It was lke a month and a few weeks since prom, and, uh, about three weeks after I last saw you at graduation."
We were in front of the iron gates of my apartment with many men and women walking by us in their own little worlds of love and lust.
I leaned my left side into the gate getting out my access card for the building. I turned when Harry followed me through the iron gate to the front door.
"What?" I was confused. What was he doing?
"Just want to make sure you make it upstairs, Ms. Steele."
"I think I'll be fine, but if you insist," I turned and opened the door of the building. I walked silently to the elevator and when it pinged noting its arrival, I turned to analyze what mood Harry was in a little behind me. I caught him staring at my behind and I quickly bursted into laughter. "Busted," I whispered as I walked into the elevator with him right by my side smirking and flushing red.
"Somethings never change, and your ass is one of them," Harry said proudly and now I was the one to blush crimson. This boy still knew how to heat my face properly.
"Same goes for you," my voice was barely audible as I clasped my hands together in front of my hips. I was getting sweaty being so close to him again.
"Oh really? I have a nice ass still," he chuckled.
The doors opened on my floor and I rolled my eyes walking out of the box of close proximity. "No, you're just as confusing as you were four years ago."
"How am I confusing?"
I opened the door and put my purse on the kitchen counter to my right. I glanced back at him with a sarcastic look on my face. "Really?"
