"How has your internship been?" Mike called me out of the blue and I told him about working at Elle Magazine during my last semester. I had graduated from NYU with honors and now I was just bumming it in my apartment for the month following my graduation. It felt nice just living out of my pj's and eating left over's, but I knew I couldn't do it for much longer.

"It was good. They offered me a job to stay and be an assistant to one of the editor's, but I don't know if I want to take it. I've been thinking about moving to California with Hailey. She has some friends there that want me to work for them. We were there for spring break and it was almost like living back in Florida but there weren't as many old people," I laughed.

"You're really growing up. My baby sister was offered a real big girl job. Wow," he chuckled and I told him to shut up.

"How's your beautiful wife doing with her baby?" I asked about Katie and the announcement of the pregnancy I was Skype'd into.

"She's doing good. She's been craving chocolate on sushi, and I'll be damned if she likes it too."

I laughed and scrunched up my nose. "So, how's Stefan? Heard from him recently?"

"No, he's pretty torn up about the divorce. Him and Sara were inseparable for so long I don't know how this is going to work for him."

"Jesus, I wish he would ask us for some help or anything."

"He's a Steele, Cal. Of course he's not going to ask for help, you just gotta let him do him for a while."

Mike was right. We couldn't make Stefan happy by just holding his hand through the whole thing. Hell, if my brothers held my hand through half the shit I'd been in, I'd be the weakest human being with no backbone of my own.

"Alright, well I'll let you go. Hailey just came home excited about something," I smiled to my roommate and best friend since I moved into our freshmen dorm room.

"You will never believe where I'm being sent to live for the next six months, Callie," she squealed and did her little happy dance she always did when she got a modeling job.

"Where to now?" I plunked myself into our love seat curling up into the worn in leather.

"London!" she squealed and sat on me. "AH! I can't believe it! They want me for Burberry which is based out of London and they want me to be at their stores and help promote all the new styles and old styles and CALLIE I'M JUST SO EXCITED! Why aren't you excited for me?" she pouted and smacked my butt.

"I am, I'm just tired," I sighed.

"Give me the remote," she pulled it from my hand and frowned. "No more netflix. No more left overs. And for God's sake it's six months past Christmas, it's time to put those reindeer pj's away!"

"But they're warm!" I frowned and looked up at her.

"Callie," she said dramatically and I gave her the finger ignoring her. "You know I'm having to leave tomorrow?"

"Really?" I was saddened by her statement and looked up at her with sad puppy dog eyes as she continued to sit on me.

"Yeah, really," she frowned.

"I'm going to miss you," I frowned with her and then it both hit us at once. I was going to move to London with her. There's a flagship office in London. I was going to go work in London with my best friend.

"You are so coming with me, Cal!" she squealed and I squealed with her. Now all I had to do was talk to my boss at Elle.

"So you're moving to London and want a job over there?" the woman I worked under eyed me as she read over a column she was editing for the online site.
