"How was Paris?" Fiona came and sat down with me in my office for lunch.
"It was good!" I gave a general answer so I wouldn't have to tell Fiona that I was offered the job I knew she had been working so hard for. I couldn't be that friend to shove it in her face, but I also didn't want to be that friend to hide it from her.
"Just good?" she chuckled obviously feeling like I was underrating the whole experience. "Paris is never just good."
"Well, Harry showed up in my hotel room one day," I closed my eyes with a huge grin spread across my face and I heard her squeal.
"Oh my god! Callie! He's still in love with you!" she swooned and I watched her melt into the seating of her chair.
"Oh my god, I can't even talk about that right now," I giggled and desperately searched her face for anything that could prove to me that mine and Harry's relationship was bogus.
"Oh you know he loves you," she threw a piece of her lettuce at me and I scoffed playfully at her as it landed on Harry's shirt. "Please tell me those are his clothes and not yours."
With a playful smirk on my face, I shoved a forkful of my own salad into my mouth purposefully not answering her.
"You stayed the night with him?!" she gasped.
"Well, I got completely shit faced last night. It was horrible, I definitely do not want to talk about it. But yeah, I slept over."
"Did you two..."
"This morning," I face palmed and regretted telling her that as she squealed again. Why does she want to know so much about my personal life? Probably just because she wanted Harry for so long now, she put him on the pedestal of celeb status and can't come down from it.
"Oh my god, I knew you smelled like sex," she sat back in her chair and looked me over. "Who would have thought Harry was straight. I never saw it coming, especially with one of my co-workers."
"I'm going to kill you," I laughed hiding away the uncertainty I felt about our conversation. "He's definitely straight as straight can get. I can promise you that."
"I believe you now," she smirked and we finished up our salads before getting back to work.
When I was done for the day, I was surprised to see Harry outside the doors to pick me up.
"Hey, how was work?" he asked coming to grab my purse from me and hand me a helmet.
"Uneventful," I sighed standing on my tiptoes to give him a kiss.
"I have great news but I can't tell you until the party," he smiled down at me holding my body to his as we PDA'd so hard outside of my office building.
"Party?" I asked confused as to what he was talking about.
"It's not a party, it's more of a celebration. The boys are going to be there and so will Hailey!" he was bribing me now with my best friend and I knew he was trying hard to get me to come.
"There's not going to be any abuse of 'you know what'," I said slyly looking around me hoping no one would understand what I was implying.
"No," he sighed heavily and I felt like he was over that conversation and me bringing it back up wasn't helping.
"Ok," I gave him a polite smile and kiss on the tip of his nose.
"We're going straight there," he buckled the helmet onto my head and then put one on his before climbing onto his bike. I swung one leg over it and cuddled into his back, holding on for dear life.
