Safe in Your Wings {Hawks x gender neutral!reader}

This story is based off of a TikTok I had seen, where Hawks enjoys being hugged by someone else with a wings type quirk. Reader's quirk is a transformation quirk called 'Safety wings', meaning the wings can be used as a shield. (Transformation quirk just means that the wings can pretty much disappear and appear when the quirk is activated-pls correct me if I'm wrong 😅) I might make a part 2 later on with Y/N actually demonstrating using their quirk as a shield. But who knows! Anyways,anyone who reads these,please enjoy! And if you have any tips, feel free to comment them!

(3rd person POV)

You've worked under Hawks at his agency for a little less than half a year now. He trained with you when given free time. And sometimes when available, he would take you to lunch (mostly at KFC or wherever there's chicken lol) and you would both just talk about life. But today,instead of training or eating, you get to do your first patrol with Hawks! Of course,you've gone on patrols before,but this is your first one with Hawks. He wanted you to train a little bit longer before patrolling with him. And yesterday he finally deemed you ready!
"Y/N!" Turning around because of a voice behind you, you saw Hawks walking towards you. "You ready for your first patrol with yours truly?" He said with a teasing smile.
"I don't know about the 'Yours truly' part,but I do know that I'm ready for today!" You teased back. Hawks fake pouted and started to walk away. "Aw! I was just messing with you Hawks!"
"Keigo."
"Huh?"
"You can call me Keigo." He turned around with a smile and walked back up to you. "And I know you were kidding."
"I thought only your close friends could call you that?" You said raising one of your eyebrows.
"So now you're saying we aren't friends? Now! I'm sad!"
"I didn't mean it like that!" You said laughing a bit. "Who knew the number two hero had such a soft side?"
"Only for you..." Keigo whispered.
"What was that?" I didn't hear that right...did I...? Blushing slightly,you started l walk away. "A-Alright let's get going already! Besides,I've been waiting forever for this!"

Walking beside Hawks on the street of course gave you both a little bit...er...a lot of attention.
"It's the number two hero, Hawks!"
"Let's ask for his autograph!"
"He's even more handsome in person!"
"Is that his new partner or something?"
It started getting a little crowded with the people wanting an autograph. So Hawks grabbed you and, "Hold on tight!"
"Wait...what?! Hawks!" He took off flying while carrying you in his arms. "You realize I can fly by myself right?!"
"Is that so?" You activated your quirk, only for Hawks to drop you right away. You flew beside him with a sigh.
"You should be glad that 1. You're my higher up. 2. I can fly."
"And 3. You wouldn't stay mad at me for that long! I mean, why would you? You're with THE Hawks!" He let out a chuckle.

(I'm not good at patrol scenes so TiMe SkIp 😅)

"Well I think today was a pretty good day, right?" Hawks said with a piece of chicken in hand. You had both stopped after patrol at a restaurant for some food.
"Other than you almost dropping me, yeah! There weren't to many villains other than those men in the alley with that woman."
"Good thing you were there,seeing as how the lady was scared to move. And I had to take care of the villains."
You laughed a bit. "Maybe."
"Well then,I'll see you bright and early tomorrow!"
"Ok goodnight!"
This is how patrols went from then on. Until...

(Hawks POV) *Time skip to a month later* *In the morning*

Y/N isn't here yet this morning... They would usually beat me here!
"Good morning!" I said to the receptionist. "Is Y/N here yet?"
"No. I thought perhaps they were out in the front with you?"
"Hmm...nope. Maybe they're just running a little late! Well thank you anyways! Guess I can get a little bit of paperwork done before they get here."

I started to get worried,but I mean...Y/N is pretty strong so I don't think anything could've happened. Suddenly my phone went off and of course I was quick to check it. I mean,it could've been Y/N! To my dismay and shock, it wasn't...but instead, "The hospital?!" I left immediately, and told the receptionist.
"Oh dear! Then do hurry,I hope they're alright..."

Arriving at the hospital,I asked for Y/N L/N's room. I was given the room number and ran to the door. Sitting on the bed was Y/N. MY Y/N. And they were covered in small cuts and bruises. The nurse treating Y/N's wounds saw me and smiled.

(Y/N's POV)

The nurse was finishing up bandaging my arm when the door bust open, revealing a very worried little birdie. Keigo? The nurse looked up and smiled.
"I'll leave you two alone." Once she left the room, Keigo ran up to me and sat on the bed.
"What happened?!"
"Well first of all, what are you doing here? You have patrol this morning!"
"I'll answer your question as soon as you answer mine." Keigo's face suddenly turned serious.
"Well,I was heading towards the agency when someone pulled me into the ally and started beating me up. For some odd reason, I couldn't activate my quirk! It must've been that man's quirk or something. I ended up kicking him into a wall though and was able to use my quirk to escape. But not before helping the police put that man in a handcuffs at least."
"Why didn't you call me or anything?!"
"Well because first,what kind of hero would I be to just try and run away? And THEN ask for help. Besides, I'm doing just fine now!"
"Says the one in a hospital bed...."
"Keigo..." I cupped his cheek, making him look at me. "I'm alright. I promise, I'm not leaving you this early! The doctor even said I can leave later today."
Suddenly,Hawks got closer and gave you a hug.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there..."
I winced a little, while activating my quirk.
"What are you-?"
"Shhh..."
Wrapping my wings around Hawks, I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Like I said. I'm not leaving you yet. Especially not to someone like that! I'd rather die to someone stronger."
"Well you better not leave me,cause your hugs are really warm!"
I chuckled and closed my eyes, making sure to lock this memory up in my mind forever.
