Your Voice {Jirou X Siren! Reader} Part 2

(Jirou's POV)

It's been about 3 years since I've visited the ocean. I grew busy with life and my job. But I kept the seashell necklace from Y/N with me wherever I went. I received many questions sometimes. And my answer was always this:

"Well, I love the ocean. The ocean is actually how I was able to find both inspiration and motivation to write many of my songs."

When I was asked on HOW I got the shell, I told them I was in the middle of a songwriting session when I spotted something glistening in the sand. I stopped my writing and had gone to inspect the shining object and found this seashell. Of course, that's not ACTUALLY how I got it but... I wouldn't risk telling about Y/N. Who knows what they would do to people like Y/N.

I was finally going back home for a break. I could finally visit the ocean. I was excited but also nervous. What if Y/N didn't remember me? Well, now it was time to find out. I walked out to the water, taking my shoes off to feel the sand in my toes. I chuckled a little to myself before continuing to walk. The moon was out once again as I searched for Y/N.

I scanned the horizon when I noticed the water sent a breeze that was a bit chilly, as if it didn't want me here. I hadn't noticed, but a siren with long black hair was at the surface, watching me. They started their singing, trying to lure me over, but all I did was look at them and give a look.
"What are you doing?"

"What? What am I doing? ... I'm trying to lure you over- Why- ... Why aren't you being lured?" The siren hissed at me, getting annoyed.
"Uh... I'm sorry?" I looked down at my seashell and this time, it really WAS glowing. I mean, that's totally normal, right? Then out of nowhere, there was a loud splash and there appeared Y/N. They shoved the other siren under the water and hissed at their sibling.
"I told you to stay back at the cave! Why didn't you listen?!"
"I wanted to try luringggg- I'm sorryyyy-" the younger siren whined.
"Go back home right now!"

"So uh... who was that?" I chuckled and looked at Y/N.
"That was my younger brother... His name is Whisper. He hasn't tried luring yet since he's too young-" I saw Y/N start to step out of the water but with... human legs?!
"Wait, since when could you do that?!"
"Well... I finally came to age where I can shift." Y/N said with a shrug before smiling. "But at least no, I can do this!"
"Do what-" I was cut off by a sudden hug.
"Where were you?! You definitely took your sweet time coming to visit!" Y/N said sadly.
"Aw... I told you I would be gone for awhile..." I patted Y/N's back. "But hey! Now that you can shift, maybe you can come and visit me from now on..!" I smiled and pulled away from the hug, looking at the... taller- siren. "And whoa- since when did you get taller-?" I chuckled and Y/N smiled.

I saw them look at my neck suddenly.
"You kept it..?"
"Of course I did!" I held the shell in my hand and looked at it. "You said it would protect me, and it has! And not only that," I looked back at Y/N," it came from someone I trust. Someone who is really close to me now."

(Your POV)

A slight blush rushed onto my face. I can't believe she decided to keep it..! Although, I'm glad she did. I looked over at Jirou and smiled.
"I'm glad you kept it. It looks beautiful on you." Now it was her turn to go a bit red and she turned her head away.
"Thank you... how about, we go and have some fun." She looked back at me once her face recovered. "We can go visit town and I can show you my favorite hangout spots and stuff!"
"I would love that." I smiled and she then absent-mindedly grabbed my hand and pulled me with her, leading me away from the ocean and under the moonlight. I looked back at the ocean only for its waves to be saying "good luck, and have fun!"

The ocean was cheering us on. And I figured it meant to bring the two of us together. It was like destiny wanted me to fall for her voice. To fall for Jirou.
