I went back home for the day to change into a new outfit for tonight's work shift with Sebastian. I forgot to ask him about the dress code so I decided to wing it with a work-chic look. Just as I was getting ready, I heard a knock on my door and a man – who looked like he was around his thirties, was at the door. "Ms River?" he asked while giving me an acknowledging look. "This is her." I replied, in return he offered me his hand. "My name is Joe, I will be your personal driver from now on, Mr. Wilson hired me especially for you." I took his hand and shook it and replied. "Is the car yours to drive even when you're not exactly working?" I asked, trying to gather more information regarding his job since I will not be hogging him for long. I wouldn't mind taking the car and driving it myself if he wasn't around. "No miss. I have my own car but Mr. Wilson insisted I use this one instead."

"I see, well in that case, I'd like for you to take me to the club and give me the car keys, I'll make sure to give you some extra cash for your cab back home. I don't want to keep you up so late." his eyes widened and he seemed thrilled by what I had just proposed. "Thank you, Ms. Rivers! I really appreciate it." I smiled at him and told him that there was no need to thank me, just because I am working a late night shift doesn't mean he should too. Besides, I needed to have a small chat with Sebastian regarding this issue. We both walked out the building and he led me over to the car where I seated myself in back. The car ride was short and I made sure to pay attention to the road so I would know my way back home. It was easy to memorise, it seems that I've been around this area before but then again, I rarely stay at home nowadays. It seems that slowly, I am coming out of my shell and this sudden change doesn't seem so bad after all.

When we finally got there I got into the building and asked the bar-tender where I could find Sebastian's office. He gave me directions to his office and I knocked on the door softly trying to catch his attention but also trying not to disturb him too much from his work. He let me in and greeted me warmly, he showed me the ropes and what exactly I needed to do while helping him manage the place. "Thank you again Jenny for accepting this job, I know working late night hours isn't exactly easy."

"No worries, I in fact needed the job far more than you needed the temporary help."

"Speaking of, I was actually hoping that even after Vincent takes back his position here, you could still work here but as a more of a low-key job for now."

"Whatever it is I really do not mind, I have worked so many jobs just trying to survive alone in the city."

"Is that so? What kind of jobs did you work at?"

"Well, I used to work at a library, then as a small boutique worker, eventually as a cashier in a supermarket and finally, settled down in the routine by working under your father."

"Wow, that was quite a lot. When did you first start job hunting?"

"Probably around the age of sixteen. My memory is a little hazy, but my first job was at the supermarket. The place got robbed and in return I got fired because one of my colleagues forgot to lock the door and blamed it on me. I wasn't too thrilled to be working there anyways. Then at around the age of eighteen or nineteen, I needed the extra money to move out, so I spent around two or three years working at a library. The salaire was decent and enough for me to make a living as well as rent my very first apartment of my own. Lastly, at around the age of twenty two, I went job hunting again and well the rest is history. To think that just a few years ago from now my dreams of becoming an actress were simply innacheavable."

"It's crazy how far you went in such a short time. Colour impressed Ms. Rivers."

"Why thank you, Mr. Wilson.'' I replied while laughing along with him. After a few hours of returning calls and scheduling some meetings here and there, a young woman walked into the office as I was working. I could tell she was expecting to see Sebastian that night and not me. Her shocked facial expressions said it all. I was sitting alone in his office after all waiting for his return from the restroom. "So about my gig tonight-" she immediately said as soon as she opened the door. She didn't even knock, she just pushed open the door and walked in. When she first saw me sitting behind the desk she paused for a moment. "Oh, don't mind me. Today's my first day at the job. Working as a temporary assistant for now." she gave me a knowing look and nodded. "I see..."
