CHAPTER 12-Forgiveness

Nikki's POV

"Oh kumusta?"I'm trying so hard to control my emotion. Ang saya ko talaga ngayon kasi finally nakausap ko na si Albie through skype. Gusto ko siyang yakapin right this very moment. Damn, I missed this man.

He grinned. That famous grin of him.

"You missed me."-Albie

I blushed. Halata ba ako masyado? Pero bago paman ako maka-deny..

"Coz I missed you too."-Albie

"Ayan, ang mga hirit mong yan eh. Loko-loko kapa rin. Anu kumusta ka?"

"Okay naman. Ikaw? Kumusta ang work mo? Does that Jeff guy still bugging you?"

Yeah, I told him about that kid. "Yeah, he's so consistent."

He chuckled. "Naku dapat naba akong mag-worry? Baka ma-inlove kana dun ah."

"Hmm, so what kung ma-inlove ako dun. Single naman ako."

Napakamot ito sa batok.

"Then if that happens, I'll fly immediately to Manila. Aagawin kita."

Aww, so sweet. "Really?"

"Really. Pero I'm sure it won't happen."

"How can you be so sure?"Oh, I love this conversation.

"Kasi hindi mo siya type. Kasi ako ang type mo."

I laughed."You're too confident. Are you sure na ikaw ang type ko?"

"Of course. Your eyes say so."

"Haha.. So psychic kana pala ngayon."

"I am. Alam ko rin na palagi mo akong iniisip."

Psychic nga. Eh ako, iniisip rin niya kaya ako palagi?

"Hmm, sige na nga, I admit palagi kitang iniisip. At alam mo kung anung lagi kong naaalala sayo?"

"What? Naku bat parang kinabahan ako."

"Haha. Yung own version mo ng All of me na super unique."

"Sabi na nga ba eh."

Pero bitin ang naging usapan namin kasi napansin ko na he's exhausted. Kawawa naman. So kahit ayoko pang mag-goodbye, I have to para makapagpahinga siya. Alam kong pinipilit niya lang magmukhang okay.

The whole conversation was puro asaran. We never talked about it. I mean the promise necklace and even kung kelan siya babalik ng Pilipinas. As of now, okay na sakin knowing na okay siya. I can wait pa naman. I don't have to rush things. Naiintindihan ko naman na may obligasyon pa siya sa family niya.

Nang makausap ko siya, after 48 years of waiting, ang tagal noh? Hehe.. Alam ko na sa sarili ko na mahal ko siya. Mahal ko si Albie. And I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life. If, he fulfills his promise. IF..

I opened the drawer beside my bed and pull out a purple box where I kept the necklace. The necklace with the key pendant. One of the things that I most treasured, his PROMISE.

"Okay.. I'm ready."Pumunta ako sa vanity mirror ko at isinuot ang necklace.
