"Get.Out." he said firmly. It was quiet, but firm enough to let Edric know, he was no longer wanted inside of the shop. He sighed leaning back closer, the other boy seemingly surprised, jolted back, the mask still shielding his emotions. The male sighed; Edric swallowed nervously but kept on a brave face. "Oh, come on, don't be like that! Besides, I'll buy the flower that was stuck to me," Edric said, a smirk finding its' way to his face. "Please leave or I will have to call the authorities," The boy replied blandly, "Wait-! I-I mean, it would be rude to kick out a customer?" Edric asked leaning comfortably on the wall. "Tell that to the guards," the boy said, turning around and walking towards the phone. "Wait!" Edric said again, quickly grabbing the other's shoulder to stop him. Bad move. The boy flipped Edric over the counter, slamming him on the floor. "Ow," Edric said, rubbing his back. "Edric! Are you okay?!" Amity shouted, "Why did you hurt my brother?" She said pointing her staff at the masked boy. "Your brother put his hands on me," The boy said nonchalantly, turning his head away and walking towards the cage behind him again. "Ed, you have a lot of explaining to do." Amity said angrily. Luz watched the scene while eating a bag of popcorn, she was soooo going to tell Eda about this. "You can't just go around grabbing people Ed," Amity said, helping her brother off the floor, "I didn't mean to, it was a reflex! I didn't expect him to flip me over either, he's kind of tiny," Edric said. "Well, that's no excuse, you can get into serious trouble for that!" The youngest blight rolled her eyes before apologizing and taking her leave. "Come on Luz, Edrc just got us kicked out. Again," she said, dragging her girlfriend elsewhere. Edric sighed, "Look I'm sorry, okay?" Ed said, the boy turned around and looked at him, "Leave," he said. Edric nodded before leaving. "And hey, maybe next time, don't pick the wrong flower," the boy said before chuckling and returning to the counter. Edric left quickly, his face was glowing red. That boy had just used his own pick-up line against him! 'How rude! How bold! How attractive-NOPE.' He was not going to think about that. Soon after Edric left, the masked boy chuckled shaking his head. It was closing time soon, so that was really the only reason he kicked the green haired boy out. It wasn't the first time somebody had flirted with him, but he knew it was never genuine, if Edric wanted free flowers he could have just asked. It wasn't nice to have his feelings played with all the time, but then again, his uncle always told him that as his nephew, he doesn't need any form of a relationship with anybody. His Uncle after all, was the reason that they lived in a world of modern magic, but still they returned to old times every now and then. His uncle also kept the ways of addressing a leader, emperor and lord were the most respectful and then sir was the more modern way of life. Every now and then he questioned his uncle's intentions because sometimes he saw things, he wished he could unsee. His uncle always said to him "Fate is only true to us when it is controlled by ourselves, but it is cruel in the hands of someone else," It made sense to him, but many of the trainees around him didn't get it. His uncle thought he was special and trained him to be the best of the best. Yes, he was the top student and yes, he was what his uncle called the golden guard, but he always wondered what would happen if he got the chance to choose his own path what would have happened. He could have easily arrested Edric, but many people didn't know who he was after all, his uncle did his best to make it so that the golden guard was more so a secret and underestimated. It made it easier to beat opponents and it also made it simpler to arrest people. He was taught to be loyal and obedient and that's all he ever did, but one wrong move could cost him big time if he wasn't careful. Usually, he was just beaten till bloody, or sometimes thrown in the electrocution chambers, sometimes the water tank. He was rarely given the punishment of-

"Hunter"

Did someone call his name? Probably not. What was he doing before? Now thinking about the guy with the lettuce hair, was kind of cute...

"HUNTER."

The masked boy let out a gasp, flinching at the loud call of his name, reality taking ahold of his mind again. "Y-yes emperor Belos?"

"You are being side-tracked again; will I really have to take out those beautiful eyes of yours?" The emperor said impatiently, "N-no, no uncle, of course not," Hunter replied swiftly, he removed the mask from his face as a sign of respect. "I see... have you made good sales? We are running out of time." Belos replied, starring down into Hunter's magenta irises. "I- well, things have been rough lately and if you let me explain-"

"Oh? So, are you saying you cannot handle the task at hand? Golden guard?" Belos asked mockingly.

"Of course I can handle it, I just need more time! Less and less citizens are paying with Black Tourmaline uncle! It is a scarce material that-"

"Few people have, and it is becoming less and less common because more witches are realizing its' true potential and ability. Including us." Belos said cutting his nephew off. Hunter opened his mouth to speak but Belos beat him to it. "It would be terrible if we were unable to collect all that we need and surely it would be disappointing if all the plans we've put together, were to get tossed away. All. Because. Of you." Belos whispered in the boy's ear, he moved back, eyes narrowing. "This task better be completed soon; you have 5 days. Do not, disappoint me, Hunter. And be back at the palace by 9:00 P.M. sharp for dinner tonight. Do stop stuttering, it makes you sound weak" he finished.

"Yes Uncle."

A/N-They live in a modern world that has magic, things are more up to date. They still have old mannerisms because Belos arranged it to be that way.
