A/N
Eh, RISE of the Watchers, FALL of the Dragons. I'm clever. The cleverness of me.
Xelqua was with Aurum and Gem when it happened. They were watching over the world they had come from, to see if any had discovered their Stronghold when they heard a terrible roar accompanied by the room shaking.
They looked at each other with fear and Aurum closed his eye, attempting to find the problem. When it shot open, Gem and Xelqua saw pure terror. "What is it?" Xelqua asked. Aurum's usually calm voice was filled with fear. "Bellum attacked a dragon." Gem's eyes widened.
"I'll deal with it," he said, his metallic voice filled with fear. "Get Amica. She can help." Amica was another Watcher who could bring calm over anyone. Argentum ran from the room, only stopping to grab a black staff, a relic from a past experiment of theirs. Xelqua looked at Aurum.
"What are we going to do about Bellum?" He asked. "I don't know," he said, his voice calm again. "Most likely he will have to be released from his oath. We can not have Watchers that disobey orders." "But he's extremely useful for PvP," said Xelqua, "It would be worth keeping him for that."
Aurum considered this for a second. He sighed. "We can continue this conversation later. Right now I need to help my brother." And with that, he ran out the door, black flames appearing in his hands. Xelqua sighed and after a black sword appeared in his hands, he too ran out the door and into the fray.
When he got outside he couldn't believe his eyes. There were four people already there fighting. Bellum was waving his hands, making weapons fly everywhere. Amica was shouting something, probably trying to get Bellum and the Dragon to calm down. Aurum and Argentum were trying to get Bellum to stop and were putting up quite a fight, Gem using his staff, and Aurum blasting the weapons with magic. This wasn't good.
Xelqua flew up and over to Bellum or at least tried to. It was quite hard to fight a man who could control weapons. Eventually, though, Xelqua managed to get down and started to battle him.
"Bellum, stop!" He yelled while desperately trying to guard himself against the flying blades. "There's no reason to do this! Stop fighting the dragon!"
Bellum turned to Xelqua with a grin on his face. "Why should I? I want to see what it's like! This is my power! Weapons! I need to use it. And what better way to do it than killing a Dragon. Besides, there are tons of them. One less won't matter!" Xelqua shook his head and charged at Bellum.
Xelqua fought towards him so fiercely that Bellum had to stop fighting the dragon and focus on Xelqua. The two men were locked in combat, their swords clashing against each other, purple sparks flying everywhere.
After several minutes of intense fighting, Xelqua knocked Bellum down to the ground. "Give up now," said Xelqua, sword pointed at his throat, "and you will not be punished as severely." Bellum smiled. "Or what if I do this." He slashed upwards, cutting Xelqua in the stomach, then jumping up and throwing a sword into the heart of the dragon.
Xelqua's eyes widened and he let out a scream of pain. Bellum smiled and stood there, soaking in the EXP, an insane smile on his face. Aurum and Gem rushed over to Xelqua and started using magic. They were so concerned for him that they didn't notice Bellum coming back over.
"Concerned for you friend?" He said in a condescending voice. "You should be." "Give me one good reason that I shouldn't release you from the Watchers right now." Said Aurum. Bellum pulled a thinking face.
"Because you don't want me as an enemy. I think this," he gestured to Xelqua's writhing body, "is a good enough example." "If we release you," said Aurum, "I guarantee that you will never find us again." "Wanna bet," he responded, "because if you lose, it's not gonna be pretty. That I'll promise." Aurum looked at Xelqua's body, now lying still on the ground, and back at Bellum.
"Fine," he spat, "but you need to be on your best behavior. No more reckless killing sprees." Bellum smiled and replied, "Alright. I promise, now fix your friend." Aurum turned his attention back to his wounded friend.
He knelt with his brother and started to use his magic. He and Gem whispered spells and enchantments to try to heal their friend. He wouldn't die from his wound since he was immortal, but it could still severely impact him and his wellbeing.
"Come on," muttered Aurum, "Please wake up." His voice dropped to a whisper "I need you. I really need you Xel. I can't do this without you." Suddenly Xelqua's eyes flew open. Argentum let out a sigh of relief, and Aurum's hands flew to his mouth.
"Oh my goodness. Xelqua. Oh, thank the Void," he said as he wrapped him in a tight hug. "Thank you, Aurum, but I would prefer to be able to breathe!" Aurum dropped his arms and blushed. "Sorry, I was just excited." Xelqua smiled, "No it's fine," he said, "I'm glad to know I have friends. Anyway, how are we dealing with Bellum?" Argentum turned to his brother.
"Yeah," he said, "how are we dealing with him?" Aurum's cheeks flushed an even deeper red. "No. I'm sorry. It's just, he threatened all of us, and I didn't want anyone getting hurt." Gem sighed and Xelqua looked sympathetic. "I just made him promise not to go on anymore reckless killing rampages."
"Aurum," said Gem, "we both know that that is not a promise that he will keep. The man is mad. It's best just to release him now before he causes any more damage."
Xelqua let out a sound of fear and said, "it might be too late for that. I think that he's permanently changed the way we live our lives." The other Watchers looked over at where Xelqua was standing and saw what was happening. There was a horde of dragons coming straight for their base. A war would have to begin. This was the fall of dragons.
Annnd, thats chapter 2. I hope you are enjoying. Two things:
1: Aurum and Gem are my characters. Gem is not Geminitay.
2: Do you want the half of chapter three that I have, or do you want to wait for the whole thing?
