I sat on the couch with a bowl of popcorn. Sparrow plopped down next to me, snuggling close. I smiled, laying my head on his shoulder. Sparrow wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me slightly closer. Electra and the snake laid on their stomachs at our feet.
"Ready?" Sparrow asked.
I nodded.
Sparrow kissed the top of my head and pressed play. It turned out, Sparrow had chosen a horror movie. I jumped at points, hiding my head in his shoulder. During this, Sparrow just chuckled and held me close, assuring me that he was there for me.
As the movie ended, there was a final jumpscare and I squeaked. Electra squawked in response. Sparrow and I laughed.
"That was... quite a movie." I gulped.
I looked at Sparrow, who was still laughing. "What is so funny?"
"You and your little squeaks. They're so adorable!" Sparrow managed to say.
I huffed and turned the other way, creating distance between I. Sparrow noticed and stopped. "Babe, I'm sorry!" I didn't move. Sparrow moved and kissed my shoulder repeatedly. I let a small smile show and Sparrow noticed. He wrapped his arms around my waist and moved me into his lap.
I blushed slightly and moved so I was comfortable. Sparrow smiled and turned on another movie, this time a comedy. During the movie, I felt my eyes droop and closed my eyes, wanting it to be for only a second.
I soon fell into a shallow sleep. Sparrow kissed the top of my head. He moved me to his side and laid my head on his shoulder. He laid his head on top of mine and smiled, holding my hand.
We fell asleep at the same time, comfortable in each other's warmth.
