Chapter-14
Savannah's POV
"Come on Caleb! Can you at least teach me to do ONE sum instead of your trying it yourself?!!" I raised my voice in frustration at the grey-eyed boy whose eyes where framed with black framed glasses, his tongue poking out in concentration at the sum he was supposed to be teaching me...
But, our tutor sessions are more like him improving his skill and me staring at him uselessly.
I flung my book bag over my shoulder and muttered, "I'm outta here...gadhhe (donkey)!" and marched towards the door.
I shot one last look to the geek before I crashed into a hard chest, nearly breaking my nose
"Dekh ke nayi chal sakti kya?! (Can't you watch where you're going?)" I barked without looking, being blinded by the harsh sunlight entering the café.
I lifted my hand to shield my face from the beam and focused on the amused face of Travon
"Bad day?" He asked with a raised eyebrow
"Bad tutor session..." I said pointing to Caleb with my thumb
His eyes widened at who I pointed and asked, "Whoa! Who paired you up with him?!"
"Our teacher" I muttered.
"You're quite strong for your size; you know...That hurt..." He complained rubbing his biceps.
My lips twitched up in a smile and I looked at him
"How about I teach you...Math?" He asked cautiously
"Are you good?" I was worried where this was going, because I so didn't want to learn new theories in Math by Travon Pitt.
"I'm quite smart when it comes to Math. I pass with A's for every test..." He bragged
I nodded slowly and said, "I guess that's settled then...."
"How about this Friday, same place after school? I'll pick you up from your house..." He offered
"Sure...Um...Do you mind giving me a lift home?" I asked
"No problemo... come on..."He accepted and he held my hand in his to lead the way out of the café.
My eyes widened at the gesture, but it felt good. I felt a small crush blooming for this boy with brown hair blueeyed boy. He looked back at me one with his charming grin and I felt my face warm up and I looked to the floor to not miss a step and fall flat on my face
He opened the door to his black sedan for me and I thanked him. He jogged to the drivers' seat and started the car. We were enveloped in a calm silence, except the light rumble of the expensive car engine around us.
"So, you're a dancer?" He asked, breaking the silence
"Yeah..." I answered, not knowing how to continue further
"You were quite good out there...Some really neat moves..."He complimented
"Thanks" I giggled
I frickin giggled! What is this boy doing to me?!
"What are your plans after school?" He enquired
Okay, this feels like an interview now
"I'd love to continue dance...like be a choreographer and stuff..."I trailed off
He nodded and within a few minutes, we were parked outside the gates of my house
He came around and opened the door and took my hand to get me out. My face was burning with the blush tainting my cheeks. I mumbled a shy thanks and stepped away from him, a decent distance separating us
