There, the former pianist stood with her head hung to the side. Her eyes flickered on with a very quiet clicking noise, revealing her dark pink orbs, the ones that everyone always complimented her about when she was still alive. Feeling her mechanical parts click, she shifted her body, the usual mechanical noise following. It took her a moment to remember her place. That’s right. She was on the stage with two others. Kiibo and Leon, two students who met the same fate as she did.

Feeling an unusual stiffness, she shifted her body again, twisting and turning from standing still for such a long time. Monokuma’s Pizzeria has been under renovation for a few weeks now, so no one has been powered on manually since then. Of course with the lack of power, everyone’s joints stiffened from not moving for such a long time.

With a twist of her head, popping what would normally help in stretching a sore neck, she pulled her arms to her chest, holding the flat white platter that rested her pink cupcake friend. She scanned the dark party room, contemplating on whether she should move or not. Coming to a conclusion, she moved out of place, nearly falling in the process.

Placing a free hand to her long golden hair, she tried to use her voice box, but instead it came out all cracky. “A… ow. Maybe… I don’t… what?” She slid her hand down, holding  her neck area. “Hey, my voice is back. Ahaha, sweet!”

However, her joy was short-lived, as a pool of memories came flooding back into her mind. She was horrified at what she was remembering. It was her… dancing? No. Being lifted up and down continuously by a rope, playing a melody on a giant piano. Was she dying? “I-Is that how I died…? But why? In such a brutal way too…” She stammered out, practically reliving the traumatizing experience.

“It’s time to make things interesting…” The bear spoke sadistically, a sense of provocation laced inside of it as he waved around a giant mallet, as if trying to get a reaction out of the students.

“Make things… interesting?” The detective questioned in shock, having a hard time keeping eye contact with the bear who sat on the throne in front of the whole class. Everyone had been sitting on pins and needles ever since Kaede had been chosen as the culprit who killed Rantaro Amami.

“Why of course! Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Punishment Time~~!” The bear held his chest as he cackled loudly, his voice echoing through the trial room.

“P-Punishment…? You mean… Kaede’s execution?!” The Aikido Master shrieked, holding her hands up in a defensive manner.

“N-No friggin 'way! There’s no way we’ll let you do that!” The astronaut piped up, holding out his balled fist in front of him. If looks could kill, Monokuma would be a destroyed piece of metal.

“H-Huh? Everyone…? Why were they standing up for me? I’m a cold blooded killer… So why? Why try?” She mumbled to herself, looking down at her cupcake, dejected. As if she didn’t feel horrible enough, another piece of that memory clicked in her mind.

The mood was super dull. Everyone was crying, everyone was sad, everyone seemed… defeated. The detective pulled his hat down, hiding his now tear filled eyes as he tried his best to speak to his friend who will be taken from him momentarily.

“That’s what you said Kaede… So why are you giving up now?! Did you mean what you said?!” His voice became super cracky, yet he still forced himself to speak. “I know we can do something! Don’t give up until the end!-”
