year 3
Hallie's pov.
"how did all of that make you feel" said Karl as he watched me put away some potions.
we were talking about Clementines grand apology at the moment.
i shrugged, placing a potion on a shelf.
"i dont know, i just wanted the drama to be over you know, i just accepted her apology" i said, leaning agaisnt the table, he hummed a understanding yes.for a moment i thought about how i felt, but couldn't quite figure it out.
"things change i guess, its not like we are 11 year old first years anymore" I said, sighing, its not like this wasn't ever deemed to happen, a argument was normal between friends, and even in comitted relationships.it got me over thinking per usual, what happens if me and Sage get in a fight, ill have no one close enough to complain to about all of the wrong doings i had thought shed done, maybe this is my sign to start making some actual other friends.
"i understand" he smiled, pulling me into a warm hug, i guess he just knew about my over thinking tendencies and could tell on my face i was digging myself into a hole of my own thoughts.
"lets get going" he pulled from our hug, leaving me distant and alone, wanting another one, he set a few potions onto the shelves and grabbed my hand, to where i had wrapped my fingers

1 week skip, December 1st.
Third person pov.Christmas was fast appoorcahing.
The Great Hall had Christmas decor, as in big spruce trees, wrapped gently in bright aburn lights, with many sphere ornaments hanging from the the trees.decorated below, around the trunk was Christmas skirts, and which must've been fake gifts wrapped in different assortments of wrappings.
-
it was an early morning on a sunday, when the Hufflepuff friends were drinking hot choclates in The Great Hall, all chatting about their Christmas plans in the muggle world.
Sage, Hallie, and even Clementine hadn't had any amazing plans.
Sage was going home with her brother to celebrate, with numerous gifts under the tree awaiting her.
Hallie would be going home to her family, and celebrate with her brothers, half sister and adoptive parents.
and Clementine would go home to her foster family, whom she didnt quite have the best bond with.
-
as they walked through the halls to get to class, up from behind the three came Fred, George, Harry, and Ron.
Fred and George made their attempts to scare the 3 girls, which had ultimately worked in the end, causing Sage to jump back and gasp, whilst Hallie just screeched, and Clementine threw a hand over her wide mouth, with a flinch.Sage slapped Freds arm, making him laugh, while Hallie just stood still, paused as if she was in such a daze.
"what do you four want" said Clementine, dragging out her words in a mumble.
"jeez, speak up would you" said Harry, with a joking chuckle.
Clemen had rolled her eyes playfully and shoved Harrys shoulder."well, if you dont have any plans for Christmas" said George, before Fred had finished his long awaited sentence, per usal.
"we would like to invite you to our house" smiled Fred, wrapping his arm around Sages shoulders, she rolled her eyes."i would love to" sprouted Hallie with a wide grin, "as would i" said Sage with a smile as she played with the sleeve of her jumper.
everyone looked over at Clemen, as they were awaiting for her dying response.
she sighed.
