year 5

Clementines pov:

all of us soared through the air, above all of the orange trees and up and over Hogwarts, the wind in my hair as i gripped tightly onto the Thestral i was on top of.
my fear of heights was definitely more heightened now as i soared past the others, meeting next to Harry.

-

we flew for hours, i was already tired but the scary part hadn't even begun, my anxiety was rising.
but this was for Harry, so i knew what i was doing would be good enough.

the night sky was beautiful, even soaring through the clouds i was taken away by the beauty of the London lights down below, it felt like a whole fever dream.

-

when we arrived at our destination, all determined we ran recklessly to the elevator that would take us to the Department Of Ministry's.

-

"Department Of Ministry's" the elevator voice spoke, all us crammed into one small space, staring down the halls, you could hear everyone's raggedy breathing as we all took a step out.

"this is it." Harry said.
i anxiously gripped my wand a little tighter.
we all began walking down.
i was behind all the others, looking around in fear, taking in my surroundings.

we made it to our destination.
The Hall of Prophecy.
the only noises heard were our hesitant footsteps, the glare of each others lights on the tip of our wands making me squint.

i looked all around the room, mesmerized by how tall everything was.

a loud rumbling noise caused all of us to turn our heads in its direction.
my heart was beating rapidly, we all looked around at each other, maybe they could see my heart beating out of my chest like those ridiculous cartoons.

Harry began walking.
"ninety two... ninety three, ninety four... ninety five..." he looked to the ground with his light, turning back round.

"he should be here." he said, his voice a low echo.
"Harry..." Neville spoke.
"i-it's got your name on it.." he said, looking up, i turned to see what he was looking at.
Harry walking up close to it, he reached his hand out, looking back at us for a split second before taking it into his hand, pulling it closer towards his face.

"the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. and the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal but he shall have power the Dark Lord knows not." it spoke.
we looked around at each other.
"for neither can live while the other survives."

"Harry!" Hermione shouted.
all of us turned to watch as a Deatheater walked towards us, our lights illuminating their mask.

"Where's Sirius?" Harry spoke out.
"you know, you really should learn to tell the difference.. between dreams." they spoke.
stepping closer they took off their mask, revealing Lucius Malfoy underneath, my face going pale, the color draining, reality setting in a little to quickly.

"..and reality." he finished.
we all tensed, taking a bit of a half step backwards.
"you saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see." he titled his head.
"now hand me the prophecy."
"if you do anything to us, i'll break it" Harry stood up for the rest of us.

laughter was heard from behind him, a manic echoing laughter.
and up from behind Lucious was none other than Bellatrix Lestrange.

"he knows how to play. itsy-bitsy.... baby... Potter"
being in a room with a murderer wasn't really on my bucket list for the year.
"Bellatrix Lestrange." Neville spoke up, i felt horrible for him as he moved closer.
"Neville Longbottom, is it? how's mum and dad?" she smiled, i gripped my wand so hard i thought it would crack in half.
