Clementines pov.

soon enough the group had apparated to Godrics Hollow. walking through the snowy and quiet village, maybe besides the dog barking and our feet crunching. the snow falling lightly.
"i still think we should have used polyjuice potion." said Hermione.
"No. this is where I was born. i'm not returning as someone else." Harry said.
the loud bell tolling. Hermione wrapping her arm around Harries as we continued to wall forwards.

"i think it's Christmas Eve" said Hermione. a smile grew on my face remembering the Christmas i spent at the Weasleys. it was a fun warm time. my eyes tearing up. or maybe it was the cold.
"Listen." Hermione said. the faint sounds of singing now heard.

"Do you think they'd be in there? my mum and dad?" asked Harry as he looked at the graveyard beside us. i looked over at Hermiones pink cold face.
"yeah i think they would" Hermione said. i nodded, wrapping my arm around Harries.

we went into the graveyard, walking around pushing snow off to look for the names .
"Hey, guys?" said Hermione. i looked up and looked to where she was looking. Harry stood still staring down at a particular grave. i sighed, walking over with Hermione.

she got down onto her knees, grabbing her wand. i leaned my head onto Harries shoulder.
Hermione used her wand to form a small wreath with flowers. Harry inhaled a breath, sniffling and wiping his nose.
"Merry Christmas guys." said Harry. his eyes still fixated on the grave below.
"Merry Christmas Harry." Hermione and I softly replied as she leaned her head on his shoulder.

i wrapped my arm around the both of them, rubbing my hand against Hermiones back.
Hermione lifted her head, turning slightly then looking back at us.
"there's someone watching us, by the church" she whispered. i lifted my head from Harries shoulder. gripping my wand tightly just in case this ended up to be a scene like in the diner.

Harry turned his head, looking past Hermiones head. i was to nervous to look up so i waited for his response.
i heard the crunching snow as the footsteps trailed off. i raised my head.
"i think i know who that is." said Harry. i released my grip from the wand in my pocket.

-

Harry had decided to follow her, leaving Hermione and I to do the same. anything for Harry i guess.
"i don't like this Harry." said Hermione.
"yeah. neither do I" i said as we followed the slow walking person.
"she knew Dumbledore. she might have the sword." Harry said as we continued to walk through the cold air.

Harry stepped towards what seemed to be a broken down house.
"this is where they died." Harry swallowed harshly. i let out a shaky breath. an unsettling feeling washed over me as i thought about what went down.
"this is where he murdered them." he said. i looked at Hermione and then noticed the lady who was now stood next to us. the other two whipping their heads round
Harry took a few steps towards her.
"you're Bathilda, aren't you?" he asked.

-

the women took us into her small home. Harry lit a match, pulling it up to a portrait of a man.
"Miss Bagshot... w- who is this man?" he asked as the women turned to look. she chose not to reply as she reached for the lit candle on the small table, she began walking up some stairs Harry following along.

"Harry!" said Hermione fiercely. i looked over at Hermione. i'm sure the both of us shared our concerns as we stayed downstairs.

"Lumos" said Hermione, her wand lighting up as she stepped down a pair of stone stairs, picking up what seemed to be a book and a letter.
i looked around the place, it was dark in here. the women scared me to say the least.

i looked at Hermione as she opened the door to some random room that seemed to be filled with flies.
"Harry!" she yelled as she turned. i noticed what seemed to be blood on the ceiling and panicked, rushing over to help Hermione to her feet.
we breathed heavily as we ran up the stairs. entering in on Harry crawling across the floor and a giant snake on his tail. Hermione raised her wand and shot at the snake. the both of us ducking down to avoid its attack as it fell from the wood floor and onto the bottom floor.

Hermione reached over snatching up Harries wand.
we all waited for the snake to come back up and attack as we pulled ourselves from the floor.
the snake sure enough did what we thought. but with the luck of Hermiones quick reflexes she had gotten us out of there, breaking through the window with a grunt.

-

we found ourselves back in the woods. the snowy woods. a different scene then last time. we set up camp here, doing what was necessary and soon headed off to bed.

-

later that morning i had finally got to see the gorgeous view in all its glory along with Harry as we found ourselves outside the tent, looking at the pure white snow on the grounds and tall trees surrounding us.
Hermione was sat against a tree with a book propped in her lap.

"wow." said Harry looking out at the view. the snow reminded me so much of my days at Hogwarts, and many school breaks spent in London.
"Are you feeling better?" asked Hermione.
"you've outdone yourself this time Hermione" said Harry, walking around.
"The Forest of Dean." said Hermione.
"it's gorgeous." i smiled taking in the cold air as i sat down next to Hermione.
"i came here once with mum and dad, years ago." she said, Harry sat against a tree across from us.

this reminded me of our iconic spot near the old Willow tree. the hill that we had to pull ourselves up on, where we would sit even if it was scolding hot, freezing cold or pouring down rain. i frowned at the thought of Ron leaving, it truly didn't feel right without him, or without his commentary. we were The Golden Quadruplets for sakes. i just missed home, wherever that was.

"it's just how i remember it. the trees, the rivers. everything. like nothings changed."
I smiled at her fond memories.
"not true of course. everything's changed. if i brought my parents back here now they probably wouldn't recognize any of it. not the trees.... not the river... not even me." i looked at Hermione with glossy eyes, leaning my head on her shoulder to comfort her.

i guess we all had parent issues in some way or another. of course my family wasn't quite as broken now that i know them again. i still send letters and reach out. it just won't ever be the same. and of course we all know Harries situation.

"maybe we should just say here. grow old." Hermione laughed. i wasn't arguing with that. as long as i got to send letters.
"you wanted to know who the boy in the photograph was." Hermione changed the subject, looking down at the book in her lap. i raised my head from her shoulder, now interested as i wrapped my arms around my legs to keep me warm.

"i know." she said. "Gellert Grindelwald." she handed the closed book to Harry. as he opened it and looked through the few pages Hermione was on.
"He's the thief i saw in Gregorovitch's wand shop. speaking of which, where is my wand?" said Harry. "wheres my wand Hermione?" he said. voice more serious.

she sighed, getting up and moving something from the ground, revealing Harries wand in pieces. i raised my brows with shock.
"as we were leaving Godric's Hollow, i cast a curse and it rebounded."
Harry stared at it without a word.

"i'm sorry. i tried to mend it, but wands are different."
"it's done" Harry cut her off. he inhaled a breath. "leave me yours Hermione." he said, helping himself up.
"you both go inside and get warm. i'll take the locket as well."

1370 words.
