Rekindled Love

I WAS still laughing nonstop. The fried chicken he cooked burned because of his kalandian. Kasi naman.

But I still remember those sweetest words I've just heard earlier.

“Can I court you, munchkin?”

And without thinking, I just said my yes to him. Naisip ko lang kasi, sa kanya ako naniniwala at hindi sa ibang tao. Even if they're my own family. I'm not believing their lies.

I'm at the terrace of his rest house, looking at the dark night above, at the full moon while it surrounds the beautiful stars around it.

Can I escape the cruel reality and live in here forever? Because if they'll allow me, then I'll gladly live in here forever.

Nakakatakot man sa posibleng mangyari dahil nasa kagubatan kami, tahimik naman dito.

For once, I want to find peace within our chaotic world.

I heaved a sigh and close my eyes. The cold wind made my hair a bit messy. Hinahangin ang buhok kong hindi nakatali kaya muntik akong mapapitlag nang may humawak sa buhok ko at itinali ito.

He encircled his arms around my waist, hugging me from behind while he put his chin on my right shoulder.

“Are you okay?”

Hinaplos ko ang kamay niyang nakapulupot sa tiyan ko.

“I'm fine. It's peaceful here.”

I could feel his hot breath on my neck.

“Want to live here?” he whispered.

Mahina akong natawa. Kung pwede lang sana.

“Siguro soon.”

I felt him kissing my shoulder blade.

“When's that soon, hmm?”

I bit my lower lip. “Kapag ano.. tapos na tayong mag-aral. Kapag may napatunayan na tayo.”

He slightly squeeze my waist and brush his soft lips on my neck.

“I can work for us,”

Natawa ako. “Let me remind you again Mr. in case you forgot. Nanliligaw ka pa lang ho, hindi pa po kita sinasagot.”

I heard him chuckled lowly. “Then.. I'll make you fall hard.”

No need. You already made me fell for you harder and deeper each day.

“How can you say so?”

He put my hair on the left side of my neck para may fully access na siya sa leeg ko.

“I can baby. Don't underestimate my charm.”

Ngumuso ako. Nagiging mayabang na ah porke't mayro'n talagang maipagmamayabang.

“Cade,” I whispered his name. It's sounds good on my ear.

“Yes, munchkin?”

“Is it okay with you?”

“About?”

“Us. Kunyari sinagot na kita. Tayo na. Okay lang ba sa 'yo na sa atin lang? Na  hindi natin sasabihin sa iba? Hindi natin sasabihin sa mga Kuya ko, sa pamilya ko at sa pamilya mo?”

Because I know the moment they will know about us, they'll raise hell, especially my mother.

I heard him sigh heavily. “Why?”

I keep on clearing my throat. It's getting hurt time by time.

“Wala lang. Gusto ko lang low-key. Alam mo 'yon? Everyone wouldn't know that we're having us. We'll celebrating each milestones without them knowing that we're in a relationship and committed to each other. I just realized that it's better if people wouldn't know so no one won't judge.”
