FLASHBACK PART 12

Anu's POV

After I said bye to Anuj I entered the office. I went near the reception. A lady welcomed me with a warm smile. I smiled back and asked her Mr Williams office address.

Lady - Mr Williams office is on the 7th floor and the elevator is in the right side.

I thanked the lady and went to the elevator. The building was of 12 floors, soon i reached 7th floor. Right in front of the elevator was Mr Williams office. I knocked at the door and a voice said, "come in."

A man in his mid 60's was sitting on the chair whom I assumed to be Mr Williams. He looked at me and smiled.

Mr Williams - Ah! Ms Joshi right? 

Anu - Yes sir.

Mr Williams - Well please have a seat ms joshi.

I took a seat.

Mr Williams - So ms joshi, is this your first job?

Anu - Yes sir , this is my first job. And I have a huge interest in interior designing.

Mr Williams - That's good. As you know our company liked your designs so much and offered you this job. Let me tell you one thing ms joshi, you are the head director of interior designing here and this post is very high as well as important. We don't usually offer this post to someone inexperienced but our company liked your designs so much that all the members agreed to give you this post and we know that you will not disappoint us.

Anu - I am very good at interior designing and I believe I'll be able to handle this position.

I said this with confidence. Mr Williams looked rather impressed by my confidence. I was glad , you know they say first impression is your last impression.

Mr Williams - I am impressed. And I have faith in you. Now my assistant will show you your cabin. Thank you for giving us your time. Welcome to the company. (Smiles)

Anu - Thank you for making time to interview me for the open role. I am thrilled about the prospect of working in this position and being a part of a highly reputable team. And I assure you that I will not disappoint the company. Thank you.

I smiled and his assistant entered the office. I got up from my seat and went near the door. For one last time I glanced at Mr Williams and he was looking really impressed by my small speech. I did a little dance inside my mind. And went out of his office. Soon we reached 5th floor where my office was located. I opened the door of my cabin and looked around, it was a beautiful office/cabin with nicely designed furniture. I thanked the assistant and sat on my chair.

I quickly opened the laptop and checked the emails. I have received 3 emails. Wow , work started already. I glanced at the clock it was 11am. Office ends at 4pm. Still time. I started completing the work assigned to me. It was a easy task but it would take time.

While working one person was constantly coming in my brain. Anuj . I miss him. Not even 2 hours had passed but I still miss him a lot. I wonder if he misses me too. Today I realised one thing that I love Anuj a lot like seriously a lot. I smiled at my own silly thought. And got back to work. It was going to be a long day.
