A Good News

The next day at 10am they landed in India. The flight was from New York to Delhi. It would take probably 14 hrs to go to Ahmedabad from delhi.

So they decided to book a hotel and rest for sometime and then by the afternoon train they will ride off to Ahmedabad. Anuj booked a near by hotel. And soon their luggage was carried to their room. They booked only one room. The room was huge and beautiful. It also had a big bathroom and a small refrigerator.

Anu - So when is the train?

Anuj - 4pm, you can rest till then. And anu are you feeling okay now?

Anu - (smiles tiredly) Yup, i am good.

Suddenly a wave of nauseous pass through her and she immediately put her hand on her mouth and ran towards the bathroom.

Anuj again started panicking seeing her state. She came out of the the bathroom and smiled at him.

Anu - I am feeling really nauseous these days. I think I should go and check with the doctor.

Anuj - Yes you have to go ,infact I will come with you. And no complaints.

Anuj said sternly making her shut. She sighed as now she had no option but to go to the doctor.

At 11:30am....

They were sitting in the clinic waiting for their turn. Just then the nurse called them in. Nurse told Anuj to wait outside.

Doctor checked Anu and after some time she came out with some reports in her hand.

Doctor - Congratulations Ms kap, you are pregnant.

The world stopped for anu. She looked at the doctor with a very horrified expression. This was not something she had planned, infact neither of them have ever spoken about kids. And this unexpected news was a surprise and shock to her.

Anu - Doctor are you sure...?

Doctor - (smiles) yes ofcourse, your reports are positive, it means that you are pregnant. Oh and by the way you are 1 week pregnant.

Anu sheepishly smiled at the doctor and took the reports. She didn't knew what to do now. She was happy but moreover she was nervous about anuj's reaction. They both have never planned this and they were 43 years old. So pregnancy at that age is quite risky.

Anu - Doctor i already have 3 kids, and pregnancy at this age is normal?

Doctor - Well Anupama , for some people it is risky but your all reports just seem fine so you don't have to worry at all. But these 9 months you have to be extra careful as delivering after 30 is extremely difficult and only 50% people can do it. So i suggest you to be very careful about your health and your child.

Anu - Okay thank you and one more thing. I had a ovary cancer last year. But it is now cured. But the doctor said that my chances of pregnancy are only 15% so how is this possible? I mean i had only 15% chance.

Doctor - It is possible, even if you have 5% chance you can get pregnant. And don't worry about the cancer. It has no effects on your baby. Now all you have to do is visit the doctor once in every week and do your regular check ups. Okay?

Anu - (smiles) okay.

She greets a small bye to the doctor and goes out of the cabin in the waiting room. Anuj stands up as she comes out and walks towards her. Panick was written all over his face.

Anuj - Anu is everything okay?  And why are you looking so nervous? Is there any problem?

Anu - Well actually....i....Anuj ...i am....

Anuj - Damn it Anu tell me , what is wrong?  You are fine, right?

Anu nods her head.

Anuj - Thank god! Anu you scared me for some time. I am glad everything is fine. Now we will go home and..

Anu cuts off his sentence and says..

Anu - Anuj I AM PREGNANT.

Anu - Anuj...? Oh and by the way the baby is yours. But you got it anyway ,so..

Suddenly he faints and falls straight to the ground.

Anu - ANUJ!!
