CHAPTER 16
[ 7958 words ]

IT WAS JAEDEN'S FAVORITE DAY of the week, thursday. though violet had yet to start sleeping at his house, he usually had her for the entire day and dropped her off really late at night. even when he and lauren had work. yes, he saw violet everyday because of their jobs but she usually never stayed on set for that long because he had to work, or she had dance classes.

jaeden didn't have work today, which meant lauren didn't either. they were given a free day, they weren't entirely sure why but hey, they weren't complaining it was a much needed one. they spent a week or two filming out of town so they had to leave violet at justin's. needless to say they missed their daughter dearly.

lauren dropped violet off at school, so jaeden was going to pick her up then spend the day with her. jaeden parked his car where lauren usually did when they picked violet up together (which was really just jaeden waiting in the car for violet and lauren to surprise violet, and to make sure they didn't draw any attention). he adjusted the collar of his polo that was a gift from some well-known designer, so it was pretty pricey. it made him seem much more expensive and high maintenance than he actually was. he usually wasn't one to show off or dress this expensively but it was the first time he was going to see the other parents, he had to make a good first impression.

not to mention, most of these mothers treated lauren like shit, it'd be nice to rub in their faces that lauren's baby daddy was — well, you know, him. a young, rich, handsome and famous actor. now did he actually think that of himself? no but he wanted to give off the vibe, even though from an outsider's perspective, he really was all of the above.

all eyes were on the award winning actor as he strutted into the waiting area where the rest of the parents were. the kids were being called one by one so the teachers could make sure that everyone was leaving the school safely, school policy.

jaeden greeted them with a slight nod before looking over at the playground, trying to spot his daughter. it was there he caught sight of her and the kid he assumed was bailey, playing on the seesaw.

how'd he know it was bailey? well for one, violet wouldn't stop talking about him and two, violet only had one friend.

"i like your jacket violet!" bailey exclaimed, pushing off the ground with his tiny legs as he and violet conversed on the little pink seesaw in the playground.

"thank you! it's my favorite color!"

"your favorite color is violet?"

"yup!"

"why?"

"because it's my name"

jaeden couldn't help but smile at the interaction, she said that last phrase in the most adorable way possible he was practically melting.
