[A TV screen turned on, with Monokuma on the screen]
Monokuma: Mm, ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10 p.m. As such, it is officially nighttime. Soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked, and entry at that point is strictly prohibited. Okay then...sweet dreams, everyone! Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite... [The TV turned off]
Silver: [Thinking] Today's already come to an end. But I swear...tomorrow I'm going to find some kind of clue! I swear! [He went to sleep]
[Monokuma Theater]
Monokuma: Ahem, so...I'm sure that you've noticed the killing game has begun, but... there's still room for a little laughter. It seems our newest students, already so filled with despair, still have some hope of escape! Puhuhu... So when will it begin? When will their hope begin to die? Is it time yet? Is it time!? Heart-pounding excitement!
[Monokuma's Good Morning Announcment]
Monokuma: [Appears on the TV screen] Good morning, everyone! It is now 7 a.m. and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine! Get ready to greet another been-yutiful day! [Silver sat up, still half asleep, and rubbed my eyes. Slowly he pulled himself out of bed]
Silver: I just remembered, I promised to eat breakfast with everyone else. I'd better get going. [Silver left his room and made his way toward the dining hall. A few people had already gathered at the dining hall by the time he got there]
Dawn: Hello, Silver, and good morning!
Benjamin: E-ehehe... G-good m-morning.
Kat: Morning!
Twilight Sparkle: I suppose I'm early... [Silver figured everyone who had arrived on time could be considered model high schoolers. And the ones who showed up a little late...]
Ruv: I'm here.
Fiona: Sorry I'm late! My make-up just would NOT cooperate this morning!
Scourge: I did whatever I could to make M'lady look like a true queen! More than any of you dipshits could do! Nyhahahahaha!!!
Pinkie Pie: Sorry for being late! I was up almost all night partying!
Silver: [Thinking] ...were the types with a more relaxed sense of time. Most high schoolers fall into this category. And finally, the ones who kept everyone waiting forever...
Espio: ...I suppose I'm late.
Blaze: Good morning, everyone.
Knuckles: My bad, guys! Slept right through my alarm!
Ruby: I-I'm am so sorry! I-I was tr-trying to wake up CJ, b-but he wouldn't b-budge! Pl-please forgive me!
CJ: Yeah, I was being quite stubborn, so none of this was Ruby's fault.
Sarvente: My apologies for being late! I was doing some early morning praying! You guys can join me next time if you like!
Silver: [Thinking] ...don't care about time or other people in general. They're the kind to move at their own pace. But regardless, everyone had arrived. At least, that's how it was supposed to go...
Amy: Wait, aren't we still missing some people?
Crystal: Yeah, Whitty and Shadow aren't here yet.
Silver: [Thinking] I don't know about Shadow, but...I would definitely put Whitty in the "model high schooler" category. So for him to be so late...
Shadow: ...What's going on? Did something happen?
Ruv: Hey Shadow! Have you seen Whitty?
Shadow: Why would I have? I just came straight from my room to here.
Pinkie Pie: Did he forget about our breakfast promise...? We even Pinkie Promised! And nobody can break a Pinkie Promise!
Espio: I got the sense he always has his stuff together... [Listening to everyone talk like that, a small, dark speck of unease rose inside of Silver. And that speck started to grow quickly...]
Silver: I-I need to go... I have to check on her! [The words had barely left my lips before Silver flew out into the hall. He went into Whitty's room, which was surprisingly unlocked] [Thinking] ...the room had been completely transformed. [Outloud] Wh-What the hell!? [He looks at a nightstand that was knocked over] [Thinking] What the heck happened to this nightstand. Someone strong must've knocked it over. [He looks at a damaged bed] The bed's been damaged, too... [He looks at some scratches that were on the wall] There are slashed and gouges on the walls and the floor. More importantly, where's Whitty!? [He goes into the bathroom] I'd better check the bathroom. Let's...take...a...look...in...side... [When Silver went inside, he saw the sight that he never wanted to see. Then, he went completely silent]
It took Silver a second to realize that he was screaming. What he saw dug its way through his eyes and buried itself in my brain. And then... And then... ...everything went black.
