PROPHECIES SUCK

ARYA USUALLY FELT STRONG coming out of the water, but the moment her foot hit the shore of camp she felt sick to her stomach. Percy and her both dragged their feet through the sand. They were both tired and had just gone through alot. All they wanted to do was rest, but instead they had a million other things that took precedent.

Conner Stoll was on guard duty, and was so thrilled to see them that he fell out of his tree, something that would normally have Arya cracking up, but instead she just winced. Before Arya could warn him, the conch horn was raised to his lips and calling to the campers.

The curly haired boy ran over to them with his normal bright smile on his face, but when he looked into Arya's eyes and saw the grief they carried, the way her normally confident and commanding posture was slouched, like she wanted nothing to do with the world, Connors feet stopped dead in there tracks.

"Where's Bekendorf?" He called out, his smile replaced with concern.

Out of the corner of Arya's eye she saw Percy slowly shake his head. Connors head fell to the ground. "Oh no. Poor Selina... Holy Zeus when she finds out."

Arya licked her lips and swallowed what felt like a rock. Connor must have seen this and stopped talking. Everyone knew how much Charles meant to both girls.

"Well, let's go tell the others." He said, his voice catching at the words.

Arya gave the boy a grateful look, not many people would have the courage to go with someone in a situation like this.

The trio climbed the sand dunes and noticed the hoard of campers making their way towards them with hopeful looks plastered on their faces, and Arya felt herself freeze up. She shook her head, she couldn't do this.

Arya veered to the left to the dining hall as her breathing got heavy. She made her way over to the hall and stripped off her gauntlets and belt, throwing them on the table and sitting down, her eyes glazed over.

It took a few minutes for Percy and Connor to meet her, and Percy's heart hurt at the expression his sister wore. "I'll tell them." He decided.

Arya didn't argue.

The first in the pavilion was Chiron, followed shortly behind by Annabeth. When Arya refused to greet them, or even look in their general direction, they both knew something was horribly wrong.
