Amelia: "Miguel?"
Amelia flicks her flashlight around, glinting off the soaked trees and flora. At least it wasn't raining now.
Amelia: "Hello?"
Amelia walks forward, plunging her tennis shoes into the muddy grass under her. She's used to getting her shoes dirty.
Amelia: "This really isn't cool guys; we were supposed to stick together."
Amelia turns around, again shining her flashlight around the forest. Nothing but the cold air. She shivers as the breeze passes, untying her hoodie from around her waist and quickly putting it on.
As Amelia realizes that this isn't just a joke, she becomes more frantic.
Amelia: "Hello?! Miguel? Pierce?"
Pierce: "Amelia? Amelia?!"
Pierce turns to Miguel, although it's pretty hard to see him so late at night.
Pierce: "Where did she go?"
Miguel: "She probably just lost us or something.."
Miguel's voice reflects how unsure he is, although his voice always sounds a bit off-put.
Miguel: "We should never have come out here in the first place.."
Pierce: "Yeah, you're right about that.. It was Amelia's idea though."
Miguel: "Yeah, I guess.."
Amelia. Where could she have gone? Did she really just lose them?
Miguel: "Amelia?!"
..She doesn't respond.
Pierce: "Well, shit. This sucks."
Miguel: "We've gotta find her and just.. get out of here. I'm not a fan of this.. at all..."
Pierce: "Well.."
Pierce shines his flashlight around the dark wilderness, before landing on the floor.
Pierce: "Look, are those her footprints?"
Miguel: "Where?"
Pierce: "There."
Pierce points to where his flashlight is positioned. Sure enough, there are footsteps left in the leaves.
Miguel: "Are those her footsteps or are those just ours? ..Maybe we've just been going in circles.."
Pierce: "We might as well follow them. If nothing else, they'll still lead us out of here, and we could get to a place with cell reception and hope she has too."
Miguel: "I guess.."
Miguel's voice is quavering.
Miguel: "You know.. I was so focused on Amelia being lost that I didn't realize that we were lost ourselves.."
Pierce: "It'll be fine.. hopefully. If nothing else, we can just keep walking until we get out of here."
Pierce puts a reassuring hand on Miguel's shoulder. He's not sure if it helps. Miguel takes a deep breath either way.
Miguel: "You know, aren't we supposed to stay put in these situations?"
Pierce: "Yeah.. but I don't know how long it'll take for anyone to come for us."
Miguel: "...true."
Pierce: "Let's just follow these footsteps. Come on."
Pierce makes a slight waving gesture and smiles.
Miguel: "..Alright, yeah."
