Chapter 25: Clock (Upton's PoV)

It was as if when it was that I had come in to this place, that I felt like it was in fact going to be the typical lab that you would see from a movie, or here about in a book. Like the scientist was going to have the dead corpses in little tubes of animals, all at the exact same time too, at that. That was not the case what so ever how ever, none the less, at that, once again.
He did in fact have weird tubes, and weird beakers of stuff how ever, as that was to no surprise at all to me, none the less. How ever, they were not filled with parts of animals what so ever, never the less. They were in fact in stead filled with some sort of colored liquid, all at the exact same time too.
I felt like I could not get my eyes off of them if I was not going to lie to my self either. My eyes were wide, as I felt so interested in them for some odd reason or another. I was not all too sure as to just why that was in fact the case what so ever, if it was that I was in fact not going to lie to my self.
I began to start to breathe in a little bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once, as in the end, I then did in fact just seem to start to get my mind, and I then did in fact begin to start to get my focus off of all of that, all at once. I had my hands out as if I was in fact about to touch them, and I was in fact going to break them, all at the exact same time too, none the less.
I was not all too sure as to just why it was that I was so interested in them what so ever. I simply just was how ever, as I began to start to lick my lips all at once, as if I was in fact wanting to drink the liquid that was in fact in side of them, all at the exact same time too, none the less. As it was that I seemed to stare, and I felt like I could not get my eyes off of them what so ever, all at once, at that.
That was when I began to start to all of the sudden notice that the scientist was in fact beginning to start to turn his head around to us, all at the exact same time too. Of course, as it was that I was in fact at the front of this none the less, the first thing that it was that he was in fact to notice. That was of course the fact that I was looking at them so closely, and I did in fact have my hands out as if it was that I was in fact about to touch them, none the less.
As it was that I had in fact began to start to notice the the scientist had in fact turned his head around to us, all at once. I saw that he did in fact begin to start to tilt his head a little bit over towards me, all at the exact same time too, from the corner of my eyes, all at the exact same time too. As soon as it was that I had in fact seemed to do as such a thing like that, that was when I then did in fact begin to start to look over to him, all at once.
I felt like I could not help but to have a little bit of a guilty look on my face, all at the exact same time too, never the less, at that. As it was that I had in fact began to start to do as such a thing like that, all at once, that was when I then did in fact begin to start to dip my head a little bit low to the ground, all at the exact same time too. It did not seem like the man was all too bothered by it what so ever.
He simply just seemed to continue with just what it was that he had in fact been doing long before now, none the less, at that. As it was that he had in fact been doing as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, he then began to start to speak to us. Or perhaps me, as I saw that he did in fact just so happen to seem to have his eyes on me, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I did in fact just so happen to seem to stare right back at him, all at once. That was when I then did in fact begin to start to blink my eyes a few times, all at the same time too, at that. I then in the end, did in fact begin to start to nod to him, all at the exact same time as well, that that. It was clear that I was in fact letting him know that I was in fact paying my full attention on to just what it was that he was about to go on ahead and say to me, all at once.
It did not seem to bother him what so ever as to just what it was that I was in fact going to respond to him with, all at the exact same time too. He just simply seemed to continue to go right on ahead, and he began to start to continue to speak to me, all at the exact same time too. I of course, did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact even have to say to me, all at once.
"Please do not touch the beakers... Not only will you destroy this entire project... But you might just destroy the entire city..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too, all at once. I saw that he had his eyes squinted on me as well, as it was clear that he was trying to let me know for a fact that he was in fact being for real with just what it was that he had even just said to me, all at the exact same time too.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I had in fact begun to start to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, that was when in the end, I then did in fact begin to start to breath in quite bait of a soft sigh to my self, all at once, at that.
Not only did I dip my head a little bit low to the ground, all at the exact same time too, but I also did in fact begin to start to look away from the beakers that it was that I had in fact just so happened to be staring at long before now, none the less. I felt stupid, and I felt really dumb for just what it was that I was doing.
I knew that I was smarter than that, but right now, it did not seem like I was doing a good job of proving it. I was already off to an awful start right now, all at the exact same time too, at that, none the less. I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at once.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to do as such a thing like that for just a little bit more time, all at once, that was when I then began to start to notice that every one from the corner of my eyes was in fact looking at one another. It was clear that they were all trying to look and see as to just who it was that the scientist was even talking about right at this very moment in time too, none the less.
I kind of felt a little bit bad for it, all at the exact same time too. I felt like I was in fact ruining this for every one that was in fact here right now, all at the exact same time too. I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to do as such a thing like that, all at once, that was when I then did in fact begin to start to lift my head up, all at the exact same time too. I then did in fact begin to start to look at the scientist right in to his eyes, all at the exact same time as well. He just seemed to be acting indifferent as to just what it was that I was even doing right at this very moment in time too, at that.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at once, as in the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to all of the sudden step up, all at once. I then did in fact begin to start to speak up to the scientist, all at the exact same time too, none the less. He of course did in fact seem to be paying attention to me right now, at least so it did in fact seem to be.
I let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief to my self, all at the exact same time too. I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at once. In the end, I then did in fact just seem to continue to speak to him, all at the exact same time too. I knew that of course, that he was in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I even had to say to him, all at the exact same time as well.
"Sorry... I just... I can't help but to look at it... Its just so strange..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too. I resisted the urge to go on ahead and look back at it once again at that. It was a bit hard, but I did in fact make due with it, never the less, at that.
The scientist did in fact just seem to roll his eyes a bit over towards me, all at once. It was clear that he was not taking me all too seriously what so ever right now. I was not all too sure if that was a good or a bad thing how ever, just yet. I felt like I was ruining this for every one right now, if I was not going to lie to my self either.
Not that I had really been trying all too hard, but it was clear to me that at that very moment in time, that was one of those rare instances where it was in fact clear to me that I had not been all too good with words, none the less. I kind of just stood there, and I kind of stared for a little bit longer, as the scientist then did in fact roll his eyes at me, all at once.
It was not him that it was that I needed to worry about what so ever, at all, as I saw him begin to start to look away from me, all at once. As it was that I had in fact began to start to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, that was when I began to start to notice that every one else was looking at me right now. Of course, they had in fact all heard as to just what it was that I had in fact said, all at the exact same time too.
I saw that a lot of them did in fact have their eyes squinted on me right now, as it was clear that I was not the only one that felt like I was in fact trying to ruin all of this for all of us, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I had in fact seemed to just calm my self down, all at the exact same time too. That was when I then began to start to dip my head a little bit low to the ground once again.
I felt like I should say some thing to calm every one down, all at the exact same time as well. How ever, if I was not going to lie to my self either, it felt like no ideas were in fact coming in to my head right now. I felt like I was being very stupid, and I felt like I was in fact going crazy.
I had a lot of thoughts going on in my head right now, as I could say that for a fact, none the less. I felt like I needed to calm my self down. How ever, that also felt like it was in fact a lot easier said than it was in fact done, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just stared down at the ground that was below my self for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time as well. That was when I then did in fact all of the sudden start to hear the voice of Westley begin to start to speak to me from right behind me, all at once, at that. It was clear that he was just speaking quiet enough, so that it was that he made sure for a fact that the scientist could not hear a single word as to just what it was that he was in fact about to say to me all of the sudden, none the less.
I kind of breathed in a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at once, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time too. I then did in fact begin to start to turn my head around all of the sudden. I then did in fact begin to start to look over to Westley, all at the exact same time as well, to let him know that I was in fact paying my full attention on just what it was that he was about to say to me, all at the exact same time too.
I just seemed to stare at him for a little bit longer with quite a bit of a blank look on my own face, all at the exact same time too. That was of course until in the end, I then did in fact all of the sudden start to hear him begin to go right on ahead, as it was that he did in fact begin to start to continue to go on ahead and speak to me. I of course did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact even have to say to me in the very first place any ways, at that.
"Um... What the hell are you doing Upton? Don't you want to actually give us a chance in this? Not destroy the whole city?" He said to me, kind of repeating in a different way as to just what it was that the scientist had in fact just said to me.
I kind of just continued to stare at him with a little bit of a blank look on my own face for just a little bit longer. It was as if I had not even heard as to just what it was that he had even said to me what so ever. It was as if I felt like I had not even noticed him speaking right at this very moment in time too, none the less.
I kind of just stared at him for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time as well, as in the end, it then did in fact just sort of start to come back to me, and it began to start to hit me all of the sudden. That was of course the fact that I had actually come close to doing as such a thing as it was that the both of them had in fact just said to me, none the less.
I kind of felt a little bit stupid, and I felt like I did not have a response back to him what so ever, at all right now. I just kind of stared, for just a little bit more time, all at once. In the end, I then did in fact began to start to shrug my shoulders a little bit over towards him, all at the exact same time too.
I saw him begin to start to squint his eyes a little bit over towards me, all at the exact same time too, as I then did in fact begin to start to look away from him, all at the exact same time too. I felt like not only did I not want to look over at my friend any sort of more time. But I also kind of began to start to hear the voice of the scientist once again, as it was that he began to start to continue to speak, none the less.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at once. I did my best to try to ignore all of the thoughts as to just what it was that Westley and the others thought of me right now. I simply just seemed to stare for just a slight bit more time, all at the exact same time as well. The scientist did not seem to be all too bothered about me any longer luckily enough for me, at that.
I kind of let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief to my self, all at once. In the end, I then did in fact just seem to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus mainly on the fact that the scientist was in fact of course, still speaking to every one that was in fact in the room right now, none the less. I of course, did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he was in fact about to say, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright every one... So the first thing that I need to do, before I can tell every one as to just what it is that we are doing here..." He began to start to say to each and every one of us, all at the exact same time too. How ever, in the end, he then just did in fact seem to stop him self mid sentence, all at the exact same time too. I was in fact a little bit lost as to just what it was that was in fact even going on right now, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I had in fact just done as such a thing like that, all at once, that was when I then did in fact begin to start to go on ahead, and I began to start to dip my head a little bit low to the ground, all at once. This was what it was that I had come here for, but why was it that he was holding it off so long as to just what it was that it felt like we all did in fact need to know, none the less. As I just seemed to kind of stand there and stare for just a little bit more time, I then in the end, did in fact just seem to get my mind and my focus off of all of that other stuff, all at once. In the end, I then did in fact begin to start to hear him continue to speak to us once again, just as it was that he had in fact been doing not too much longer ago, never the less, at that. I did my best to act as calm, and as level headed as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time too, never the less. In the end, I then did in fact begin to start to go on ahead and listen as to just what it was that he did in fact even have to say to us all, all at the exact same time too. "I need to find out first who you are, and what you are good at, before I tell you any thing about these plans... If the mayor found out about it, than this would all be shut down for sure..."
I looked at the scientist right in to his eyes for just a little bit of some time, as I really did not think all too much on to just what it was that he had in fact said at first, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self, never the less. It kind of seemed normal, and it did in fact seem like it was in fact some thing that the mayor would in fact try to do if it was that she felt like she did not like just what it was that was in fact going on here, none the less.
How ever, it just did not make all too much sense to me what so ever, all at the exact same time too, as to just why it was that he would not want her to find out about it. I felt like some thing must be going on right now, none the less, at that. I felt like the mayor was not usually one to make the best decisions in the world, but I felt like if she knew that it was going to save the world, than she would surely change her mind on all of that, right?
I kind of gulped a bit heavily to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure if that was in fact the case, at that. I also kind of felt like we still did not know as to just what this was in fact going to be about, all at the exact same time too, at that. I felt like there was a whole lot that was going on right now, that I did in fact feel like we needed to find out first, before it was that we agreed to that decision, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just looked at the scientist for quite a bit of some time, all at the exact same time too. I squinted my eyes at him a bit suspiciously, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like I was in fact testing him quite a bit right at this very moment in time too. I kind of did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at once, once again, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to do as such a thing like that, all at once, that was when I then did in fact hear the familiar voice of one specific female, all at once. It seemed like just as per usual, as that was what every one did in fact love her for so it seemed to be, at that. She had come to save the day, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that she had thought of some sort of response back to the man, all at the exact same time too, long before it was that the rest of us had in fact thought of any thing, all at the exact same time as well.
The lady that was in fact of course speaking up right now, just so happened to be none other than Amelia, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was even doing right now, nor just what it was that I was even thinking right at this very moment in time as well, in the very first place any ways, none the less.
I kind of blinked my eyes a few times, all at once, as in the end, I then did in fact seem to wake my self up all of the sudden, all at the exact same time too, at that. Of course, she was in fact not looking over at me what so ever, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear to me that her eyes were in fact completely on the scientist, all at the exact same time too.
I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could in the mean time, all at once, at that. As it was that I did in fact seem to stare for a little bit longer, I in the end, did in fact let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too. I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that she did in fact feel like she did in fact even have to say to the scientist, all at once, as I was glad that I for sure was not the one that felt like I was being put in quite a bit of some pressure, all at the exact same time too.
"Um... Why do you not want to tell us what it's going to be about? What if you feel like we are the right fit, but what it is that you want us to do is very dark or some thing, and we might want to opt out of it right now..." She said to the scientist, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear that she was in fact testing him right now, all at the exact same time as well.
I saw that she did in fact not only have her eyes squinted at him, what so ever, all at once. But she also had her arms crossed together, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear that she meant business, and she was for real with this, none the less. It kind of felt like she was a natural to this, as it seemed like she was even better at this kind of stuff than even I was, all at the exact same time too.
Though I also kind of felt like I could do what it was that she was in fact doing right now very easily none the less, if it was that I did in fact feel like trying to do as such a thing like that, never the less. I kind of let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too, all at once, as I knew that of course, I was in fact a little bit too lost in my head to be doing as such of some things like that right at this very moment in time too.
As it was that I kind of seemed to calm my self down, all at once, that was when in the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to go on ahead, and I then did in fact just begin to start to look over to the scientist, all at the exact same time too. I knew that the thoughts of Amelia needed to be the last thing that it was that felt like wanted to be in my head right at this very moment in time too, never the less.
I just kind of began to start to let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too, never the less, once again. As it was that I did in fact just seem to stare for a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too, that was when I noticed that the scientist was acting a little bit strange, all at the exact same time too. It seemed like based off of the fact that he did in fact have a little bit of a smile on his face right now, that it was that he seemed to find this some sort of amusing, and he felt like he was in fact playing a little bit of a game right now, none the less, at that.
I kind of shivered, as I felt like I should move back, as I was actually starting to wonder as to just whether or not this could in fact be a trap, all at the exact same time too. How ever, as I began to start to face reality a little bit more, all at once, I then began to start to realize that it did not make any sort of sense as to just why it was that it would in fact be the case, none the less.
Unless it was that the scientist was in fact a little bit of a good liar, all at the exact same time too, and he had some how managed to fool every young adult in the city, I felt like he was thinking some thing altogether, completely different in just what it was that I was in fact thinking right at this very moment in time too, was in fact funny to him, none the less.
I kind of just stood there, and I kind of stared for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too. I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was in fact going on right now, and just what it was that he was even doing right at this very moment in time too, never the less. In the end how ever, I just then did in fact begin to start to notice that he did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and he began to start to nod back to Amelia at the very least, all at once.
That did in fact make me feel a slight bit better about this all, if it was that I was in fact going to be for real with my self, all at once. I kind of began to start to settle my self in once again, all at the exact same time too. It was clear to me that he was letting Amelia know that he was in fact about to go on ahead, and he was in fact about to speak to her, all at once.
Amelia just seemed to be a little bit blind to it at first, for some odd reason or another, which did in fact confuse me quite a bit, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self, at that. How ever, in the end, luckily enough for us all, she did in fact not back to him, all at the exact same time too. It was clear that he was in fact letting him know that she was in fact still paying her full attention on to just what it was that he was about to go on ahead and say to her, all at once, once again.
The scientist still seemed to be acting strange, all at once how ever. I kind of let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some fresh air, all at once, if you wanted to call it that. The scientist in the end, did in fact begin to start to go on ahead and begin to start to speak back to her, all at the exact same time too. I did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he did in fact even have to say to her, all at the exact same time too, at that, never the less.
"Well... It's some thing very dangerous... Not scary... But I can't have any one find out, because if they do than they will all freak out... Let's just say it has some thing to do with a clock..."
