It was almost the day that our show would be put on. This was amazing. We worked hard on this and we finally got the chance to show other people our work.
Xioe and Josh had given out as many flyers as they could and they gave out a lot. Ryder had been in the recording studio a lot and so had everyone else who was in the play. Xioe's character name was Alice and her love interest was a girl named Rocky who would be playing Penny. Rocky was a sweet girl and her and Xioe got along perfectly. Ryder loved all of the songs he wrote for the two of them. He knew they would be singing a lot so he made sure to help their voices a lot. Xioe was nervous as hell. Singing wasn't really her thing but she did have a beautiful voice. I knew that Broadway was going to be an immediate yes for her.
Josh had been working hard on his designs and I swear this man was a god at what he does. The outfits were amazing and I was so surprised when I saw the prom dress he made.
The whole show was taking place in high school because everything had happened in high school. We knew Alice would be there to see the show and so would her girlfriend Nicole. All of these characters were based on real people. They had to show the story through everyone's eyes. It was going to be amazing.
The show wasn't meant to be a musical but since they were going to be singing, we were ok with people calling it a musical. The songs were going to be on an album for the people who wanted to listen to them again, hence why everyone was in the studio. Our show was called Accept Me. We stole it from when she was talking to us about it and all she wanted was for him to accept her. We wanted to show her being in love with someone who her dad might have not expected her to be with but he eventually comes to his senses.
I got to see them act out every scene and it was beautiful, I even cried a few times while watching it. Mr. North couldn't wait for others to see it. He wanted people to know how wrong he was for not accepting her at first. He knew he would get a lot of backlash from it but he didn't care. He felt that his child's side of the story should be heard and that other people could relate and soon one day realize that it will get better. It just takes time. In my opinion, I think he is an amazing dad.
I had been working on my own project away from the show with Felix. He still hadn't had his inspiration and I was determined to help him. So far, he has a few things in mind. I told him that maybe he should do something for his daughter. I could tell he really liked the idea but he still had no idea what to do. I gave him advice to come see our show and see if any of it gave him interest to draw or paint something. He agreed to it and he looked happy. He then went on to ask about the show. I told him all about it that day and now the day was almost here. It was three days away.
"Maybe you should send her one." Xioe told me.
Ever since we got back, I had been very hesitant to read any of the letters my mom sent me. I only got close enough to take the letters out of the envelope and then I would just end up putting them back.
"I haven't read any of these letters so why should I send her one? She might think I'm rude for doing it." I said.
"Or maybe she will be happy to finally get to spend some time with her daughter." she said.
I looked at the invitation and decided that if I was gonna invite her then I needed to do it fast.
I got up off of the couch and went to the room. I opened the drawer and took out the first letter that she ever sent me. I took it out and went back into the living room. Xioe looked at me and then looked back down at her math book.
"I'm gonna read it." I said.
"Ok." she said.
"Ok?" I questioned.
