Ryder's Pov

"I love you. More than anything and I want this. I really do but I don't wanna hurt you again." Lia said.

Ok, so you're confused. Let's rewind back to when we first got out of the car.

I parked in the parking lot and we walked out. I made sure to have the blindfold on her because she was a sucker for this type of stuff. She asked questions but I couldn't really answer them. Didn't wanna ruin her surprise. We walked some more and I took the blindfold off of her. As soon as she realized where we were she started tearing up.

Now, of course, you are still confused. We were in an Airbnb that I rented for a three day weekend. I made sure to make it look the way I wanted it to look. Candles lit. Rose petals all over the floor. Roses on the bed. Bath full of bubbles and pink rose petals. Wine by the tub. The tub also had jets in it. The lights were dimmed. There was food already on the table. There were robes out for us. I also made sure to secretly pack her a bag while she was at the police station earlier and while she was asleep.

The Airbnb was nice. There was a fire place. An upstairs. The couch looked comfortable. All in all, it was perfect. Perfect was what I needed for her. I wanted to spoil her. In my eyes, she deserved it. Especially, since she didn't get the valentines she deserved. After all, it was kind of my fault. I didn't want to push her into doing valentines day because we had already broken up. But I should've just asked her because I was dying to do this for her.

Anyway, back to where we were. Lia was tearing up. I glanced at her and she was stunned.

"You did this?" she looked up and asked me.

"I did." I smirked down at her.

"Are we staying here?"

"Yup."

"But I didn't pack anything."

"I packed for you. Your bags are in the trunk, I just have to go get them. It's only for the weekend though because you have classes on Tuesday."

"Don't you have classes on Monday?"

"I moved them to Saturday."

"But you didn't have to."

"I wanted to though."

She smiled at me and walked around.

"Look at all of these rose petals. You're gonna have a lot of cleaning to do."

"Well, it's worth it."

She kept walking and saw the table. She turned back to me.

"How long has that been there?"

"Not long. I didn't cook it though."

She nodded and walked upstairs with me. We walked into the bedroom and she teared up even more. I walked over and handed her the bouquet of roses I got her.

"Are you being for real right now or is this some kind of cruel joke?"

I laughed, "It's not. I'm being dead serious."

"What's all of this for though?"

"Valentine's day. We missed it and I was a fool and didn't ask you if you wanted to celebrate as friends. Just because we weren't together didn't mean we couldn't still enjoy it."

"Yeah but you still got me stuff and we hung out and we were around each other."

I smiled at her.

"You know how much of a sucker I am for this type of stuff. You should've told me not to wear any mascara."
