Okay...okay try not to look too panicky. You're cool...you're fine...you are...yo-oh who are you kidding you're an overreaching, Don Quixote-esq idiot with a freaking death wish.

You should stay out of it. It's none of your business. The guy seems happy, he doesn't feel like he's in any danger. He seems totally content.

But is he? Or is that what Raphael wants him to feel?

Y-you're probably overthinking. You don't know the protocols or rules or intricacies involved with supernatural/human dating/romance/courtship/whatever. There has to be some kind of rules or bylaws or something. There HAS to be...I mean you have no clue what the hell they are but surely they have to exist. Right?

Right...

There are...surely there are...there would have to be. You just don't know what they are, that's all...it's understandable to be confused by it. This isn't your world.

B-but...it's not Simon's world either.

And therein lies the issue.

Simon's not a supernatural. He's just a sweet, normal, totally clueless human. Yeah, yeah he's a detective and seems bright and capable and all that- hardly the 'damsel in distress' type but intelligence, street smarts and the knowledge of the real world doesn't really cut it when surrounded by the unreal world. They are surrounded by monsters, demons, warlocks, fae, magics, werecreatures, vampires and heaven only knows what else. And Simon? Simon isn't just surrounded by it, he's entrenched in it. He is dating the head of the Brooklyn Vampire Clan.

And the guy has no damn clue!

He is in a romantic relationship with one of the most feared supernatural beings in the city (or country or who the hell knows how far) and has no damn clue. None!

He's not even spelled with supernatural sight!

He knows he isn't. He can see it too now. It's weird and random and he catches it when he least expects it but if anything at least it lets him know he's not alone meandering through the insanity. He doesn't see even so much as a hint of it with Simon. Nada. The poor guy has no clue what he's dealing with, who he's dating. He's totally, completely, blissfully unaware of the terrifying monster hidden just beneath the pretty, alluring visage.

The guy seems totally content with the relationship: giddy, besotted, completely enthralled. O-only the thing of it is with Raphael that might not just be a figure of speech...

T-that? That could be an issue.

Raphael scared the hell out of him. The man was one of the most feared Supernatural beings in the country, he was the leader of the Brooklyn Vampire clan- he may not know a lot about Supernaturals but that sounds like a pretty important position. It also sounds like someone you'd definitely NOT want to cross. Also he's become a close friend/confidant/ quasi-mentor for Divya because of course he has: fate hates him.
